Krog_the_Destroyer 08-20-04, 05:35 PM	ok so heres the idea a rogue 1 into pallyx start life with high dex and cha above avg str and int take rog or swashbuckler into pallidin the backgroung is a falchion weilding light armor pallidin spring attack tree but why in the world would a pirate turn pallidin im in the realms for the first time, is there a god of the ocean or sea or somthin also i want high dex and cha is their a race anywere with la 1 that pumps both. i got the look figured out full long beard braided leather armor peirceins tattos a mean sstreak and a keen falchion carring justice to the high seas with his loyal crew once i get leadership
dorkknight23 08-20-04, 07:57 PM	Don't take this the wrong way, but punctuation (and spelling, but that's another barrel of fish) is a handy thing to have (it helps people understand, and therefore, answer your question.) I'm not very familiar with Forgotten Realms, so I don't know about your deity question, but a Paladin doesn't necessarily need to be serve any deity in particular. A rogue with a focus on piratry could always "turn legit" and act as a sort of "counter-pirate" under the employ of a local government (think Sir Francis Drake in real life.) As for races for high Dexterity and Charisma, check out elves (I think FR has a variant elf race that gets a Charisma bonus [Star Elves, I think,]) But I think this might be a cool idea, although feats might be a bit tight (three out of the six you'll probably get are already dedicated to Spring Attack.) Also, check out the Dread Pirate PrC in Song and Silence. Hope that helps.
Krog_the_Destroyer 08-20-04, 08:24 PM	18 17 13 16 16 17 are my stats assigned 16 17 16 17 13 18 bfore racial mods for whatever I am going swashbuckler for 1st lvl free finnesse good skills and d10 hp does the trick. I am taking 3 lvl to get int to dmg then im going palidin. I refuse to make this character an elf, so are their any races that give bonuses to Cha and Dex with like a +1 lvl adjustment, assimar is +2 wis/cha, but i dont want to assimar. im going to talk to my Dm and see if i can get a +1 la race with +2dex/cha and a bonus feat possibly +2 racail to balance and swim sound ballanced?
Morka 08-20-04, 08:26 PM	In forgotten realms, there is Valkur who is the CG god of sailors. If you absolutely want to be a paladin, there is Tyr, god of justice. He is not especially a god of the sea though. Or Mielikki, NG of good rangers...
dorkknight23 08-20-04, 08:39 PM	Okay, just to clear up: before finesse paladin aasimar racial balanced Sorry, your spelling is driving me batty. Your stats are incredible. I'd recommend being a human (I mean, your stats aren't in that desperate a need of a boost,) and the bonus feat and skill points can help with feats and skills you'd need (climb, jump, tumble, swim, profession [sailor,] the spring attack tree, etc.) And for feats, the 3.5 PHB has "Athletic," which is +2 to Climb and Swim (two handy skills for your kind of character.)
