| Starchaserva05-18-06, 10:10 PM | I just recently picked up the second player's handbook, and I have to say that I am not disappointed with it. Loads of good character stuff, amongst other things. I was really looking forward to the knight, though I orignally thought it to be a more combat oriented paladin, I was surprised to find out it was more like a fighter/bard, in a way. There was a nice big selection of feats, my favorite was the armor specialization. I really didn't care too much for the organizations and affiliations, as no game I've ever been in has really brought them into play, aside from the ever nebulous nameless thieves/assassin guild. Of course the highlight of the book was all the flavor material, which is always good for people who like building deeper characters aside from the archetypes. I was curious what other people thought of the book? |

Also, the variant classes aswell as the new classes are all pretty sweet in their own right. Feats and spells are the usual, lots of and more than useful. Decent buy and more than worth it. Later |
| Gryhkwanderer05-20-06, 10:08 AM | I picked it up acouple days ago and so am still reading through but thus far am pleased! I do use affiliations and such in my games so read that first. It put rules to areas of the game I, as a DM, have always decided arbitrarily. Some good, some bad. All in all, I like the book and will use it. However, it won't be a must have book in my bag when I go to games. |
