| Lanoitakude01-11-04, 08:37 PM | I am designing a character for a town-oriented campaign, and I decided I would use a Bard (never been one before). I wanted him to be a rockstar (one from the 60's-70's era). My current name for him is Jimmy Page. He only plays Led Zeppelin songs (when my DM turns on "battle music", I can use bardic music to change it to Led son gof my choice). Going for multiple performance skills (guitar, singing, etc). He is in search of the Wicked Sweet Gear of Awesomeness! The Guitar of Awesomeness (+2 perform[guitar] and can do sonic attacks), The Amplifier of Wickedness (+2 perform[guitar/singing], increases bardic music range, increases sonic attack's damage, Ghost Sound at will), and The Ring of Sweet Special Effects (+2 perform[all musical], can use Dancing Lights, Obscuring Mist[only at feet....FOG MACHINE!], and harmless scorching rays [lazers!]). All the special abilities of the set only function when the Guitar is being palyed. Any ideas for roleplaying a rockstar? *Quote* "Be excellent to each other." |

With the Ghost Sound ability of the Amp, you could duplicate back-up music. If I can, I might convince the other PC's to put ranks in various perform skills. Numerous Zeppelin songs pack some punch (ateast at one point in the song). Example: Babe I'm Gonna Leave You, the end of Stairway to Heaven. The idea to use hendrix (or maybe bob marley) for daze music is good. I was also considering the song "Dazed and Confused" (Zeppelin) for Daze or Confuse effects. I have a little music by korn, they are loud and angry, I could use their music for damage. While travelling, I have to play "The Battle of Evermore", which fits great in D&D because it has elements from LotR. If someone asks me where I am from, I play the Immagrant Song ("I come from the land of the ice and snow, where the midnight.....") I might also throw in some STONES If you haven't figured it out, I like Zeppelin! |
