Ok, so I just started as a player in a campaign. The theme, is that we are all gods in the classic D&D pantheon, but we are just starting out as first level characters and haven't gained any divine ranks yet. We are all human.

The other characters are playing the Gods of Olidimarra (rogue), Vecna (wizard), and Erythnul (Fighter)

I am playing Hextor, God of slaughter. He is a fighter right now, and later he is going into Kensai (He is lawful after all).

The back story that I have made so far basically follows the one with Abraham and goes like this: Hextor's dad and mom are wanting a child. The mom is unable to have a child, so her husband and her both decide that the dad will have a child with the maid so that they can have a son. The maid has a son, and they have the child that they wanted (Hextor).

Then, later, the mom gets pregnant and has another child (Heironeous). The mom, now having a son to truly call her own, doesn't want Hextor anymore. Long story less long, hextor and the maid have to take off and live on their own in relative poverty.

Whether or not the maid dies is yet to be determined. So Heironeous is literally the reason that Hextor was sent away. He hates his half brother with an intense passion, and wants heironeous to die a thousand deaths, and to reclaim his stolen mantle as the good son.

Now I am thinking about starting Hextor out as Lawful Neutral, and bahaving as an honerable fighter at the start. However, through his intense hatred of his brother, he turns evil. In fact, I figure that Hextor admires many of the characteristics that his brother is known for, and tries to emulate them...except when he is fighting his half brother that is. Thats when everybody should see a shift in mentality.

What else? So far I have only one dimension to this character. I would like a few. Also, we do not have deities and demigods at our disposal, so if there is any more light that anybody could shed on any the gods listed, that would really be awesome.

Lawful Evil is plotting. Use your (limited) human inteligence and create some foul, devious plans to roally screw Heironeous and Co. What also might be nice is to also play a sister campain, where you all are good gods, (Heironius, Garl Glittergold, Kord, and Boccob are good replacements for your party, though Pelor would be a bit easier to add to a party instead of Boccob) and eventually the 2 groups meet.
