A Short Biography: Cade Hilltopple
Halfling Warmage Level 6 (Red Hand of Doom)

Although Cade Hilltopple meets or exceeds many of the Halfling racial stereotypes, he has always been known as an eccentric and quiet spirit. He has spent most of his life traveling with his family, friends, and allies in the Hilltopple Caravan. He has been studying the arcane arts for as long as he can remember and has been training as a Warmage (armored mage) for nearly a decade now.
He remains passionate about his studies and protecting whoever he chooses to adventure with, be it his family or his travel companions. He is also very faithful to his deity, Yondalla, with daily prayers and regular offerings to her. To outsiders he denies any connection between Yondalla (LG) and Dollah Thaun (CN). He has no interest in romance or other “wastes of precious time”, though he has been known to get himself into trouble with his wanderlust and playful curiosity. Cade is quite interested in Halfling legends and mythology and hopes one day to create his own legend. His favorite legend thus far is “Silinda and the King of Arendal”.
Cade gets along best with other Halflings, Humans, and Half-Orcs. He finds it easiest to relate them and has no trouble understanding their culture. He dislikes elves and dwarves most. When he was very young, his caravan had issues with the dwarves over camping on their land and refusing to make payment that ended with some of his caravan members being robbed and/or killed. He is neutral with gnomes because of all that is similar between them and the Halflings, but dislikes their temper and innate willingness to argue.
Cade has made surprisingly few enemies over the years considering some of the individuals he has gone adventuring with. His family doesn’t exactly have the best name within the Halfling community as several of his family members have been master scam-artists, rogues, and general liars. The rest of his clan has tried to compensate for these weak links over the years and luckily the Halflings almost never keep written accounts of their history (inter-personal or otherwise).

Ok nice way to start but you do not tell why he became a warmage, what are his fears, what drives him, why did he became an adventurer and most importantly, what did he do that got him to warmage level 6 (explain how did he got his experience as a warmage).

I would provably put a twist into his story so that the DM can use it in the campaign and make it more interesting and more shocking, for instance the character I'm playing is a rightenous duskblade who fights for to honor his teacher but he is also a possesed by a demon (transformational possesion) and no one else in the party knows he is possesed they only know he is strangely strong for his race.

I completely agree! That does sound really cool. To be possessed but no one else knows! See, I'm a newbie, but I'm not dog stupid. I wrote more tonight, but will be working on the suggested "fears/weaknesses/inspirations" soon enough. Here's what I have so far for physical desc and kind of a short history...

CADE HILLTOPPLE
CREATED BY JAELUXX (FIREMIND_MN@YAHOO.COM)

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:

Cade Hilltopple just turned 35 years old. He stands approximately three feet tall. He has a small frame even for a halfling. He has a long face, light gray eyes, and shoulder length jet-black hair. He tends to wear much less flamboyant or gypsy-ish clothing than others in his caravan, yet he still has a somewhat classic look and demeanor. His wardrobe is mildly sophisticated and reminiscent of what a well-to-do human ranger might be wearing (when in a city or acting as a herald). He has never been one for wearing jewelry or trying to wear his wealth (or lack thereof). He is known to spend more time between his studies and constant adventuring than worrying about his appearance or "rank" within the various social classes. Keeping with the halfling traditions, he does not hang on to many material items (aestetic or otherwise). There are three main items that Cade always has on his person: his Hilltopple family insignia amulet (non-magical item), his sling, and his prized possesion; his spellbook. His eyes and cheeks are easily starting to show signs of aging and he is in average physical shape for an adventurer. He has scars on his right arm from a fire in a Faerun inn when he was very young. He is not interested in tatooing or other forms of permanent physical alteration.

i really like the "non-traditional" halfling warmage. however one big question that i have is how id he get exposed to magic in the first place/ i can't imagine tha magic is commonplace amoung most halflings and it would be interesting to hear how he aquired his love for magic
