I'm working on fleshing out the background for a concept character that I've worked with on and off for a year or so now. The character isn't really designed to be part of a party, but could potentially be played in a single player game.

She originally came to life when I decided that I wanted to create a character with 0 base attack bonus that could still be considered somewhat viable even at 20th level. I eventually developed the background to justify the character's choices and that in turn led to the question I'm coming to this board to ask.

Character Basics:
The character, Naera Eldanin ne Tyrbeth, is essentially the iconic pacifist. She won't harm a thinking creature, even in defense of her own life and refuses to partake in combat training of any sort. She serves the goddess Eldath wholeheartedly, though most of her training takes place outside the established church. Within the background story, she was essentially told to seek out 9 sages that would further her education and was then provided with the seed that she would develop in her training (Apostle of Peace).

The Nine Virtues:
What I need help with are the 9 sages that she conducts her training with, and more importantly, the virtues that they represent. Essentially, each virtue will be represented by a different prestige class which has at least has the potential to epitomize that concept. At the moment, I have these classes and virtues:

Apostle of Peace (Peace/Pacifism) - Eldath

Loremaster (Wisdom) - Disciple of Eldath
Runecaster (Beauty/Harmony) - Disciple of Sune
Sacred Exorcist (Resolve/Conviction) - Disciple of Lathander

Contemplative (Serenity) - Disciple of Eldath
Divine Oracle (Insight) - Disciple of Savras
Divine Disciple (Compassion) - Disciple of Ilmater

Mystic Wanderer (Tolerance) - Disciple of Eldath
Harper Priest (Charity) - Disciple of Torm
Thaumaturgist (Friendship) - Disciple of Llira

What I would like to do is finalize the list of (nine) virtues that any pacifist would hold as ideals. These are my best attempts at this point but I don't feel they're as good as they could be. I'm currently attempting to group these in threes as well, but only the last really seems to accomplish what I was looking for in this area.

There are obviously limitations on which classes I can take, due to statistical concerns but of these the only ones that I would really like to alter at this point are Runecaster and Sacred Exorcist. Sacred Exorcist I don't feel really fits a follower of Eldath or the character and Runecaster, while a possibility, isn't ideal in my opinion.

Brief Character History:
Lady Naera Eldanin ne Tyrbeth (Female Human)

--Early Life: Rogue/Psychic Warrior/Psion/Survivor 5 (1 - 8)
Was entered into a school meant to train her for combat until she rebelled and fled. A chance meeting with a repentant illithid (her eventual cohort) would lead to a happy period where the illithid and her trained among a group devoted solely to defense until they had no more to learn.

--Quest Period: Apostle of Peace/9 Sage Classes (9 - 18)
When Naera reaches the surface, her cohort leaves her and she experiences a period of despair that brings her to the attention of Eldath. The classes are currently taken in this order, which has a limited amount of flexibility: Divine Oracle, Contemplative, Mystic Wanderer, Harper Priest, Loremaster, Runecaster, Thaumaturgist, Sacred Exorcist, Divine Disciple.

--Eldath's Prophet: Wonderbringer/Hierophant (19 - 20)
Travel's the world after having completed her training as Eldath's emissary, speaking about the merits of peace as a way of life and attempting to intervene in wars.

The beauty and art ideal would most likely be best served by a Disciple of Sune. Whereas Finder and Milil have more to do with art, they would seem to have less of a relation with the Eldathyn. Sune and Eldath have always seemed very compatible to me.

As to compassion, this may best be served by a Disciple of Ilmater. Being the god of enduring trials, his servitors would be intimately familiar with suffering and ideally capable of expressing such empathy and compassion.

Sune is the obvious selection for the Beauty virtue actually. Milil is more about performance arts and Finder focuses mostly on traditional art forms it seems, where I was thinking more along the lines of appreciating the beauty inherent in nature and a generally broader array of subjects. I couldn't really pin that concept down with a single word for some reason.

I also like Ilmater for Compassion, and that's one of the virtues that I am completely happy with as one of the nine. (Along with Serenity and Tolerance.)

I'll add those in and a few others now.

Oops...my friend and I were logged onto each other's computers, so I posted as The Wyvern Watcher before...

Charity is a tricky one, but I think it may need to be Torm. The closest portfolio any Faerunian deity has to charity appears to be Duty, as in the idea of it being the duty of the haves to give to the have-nots to provide for the greater good. At least, the deity of whom I would most expect to find someone being a champion of charity would be Torm.
