Psion Uncarnate Backstory? [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-25-07, 03:53 PM Anyone out there able to help me come up with a cool backstory for an Human Ardant going into Psion Uncarnate. My premise is that my character is so enveloped in his own mental powers that he wishes/longs to acend to a being of pure psionic matter. So anyone up to the task, please PIMP MY RIDE err STORY!!! lol

10-26-07, 11:12 AM I don't know your character's alignment, but you could put him in an armor and make him go all Onslaught (check X-men)...

Center him around lore learning, bolster what knowledge checks (psionics, planes etc) you can.
Inquisitive
Monastic upbringing
Mild disinterest / dismissal of material concerns (doesn't really see the whole point in the material wealth thing)
Deep waters run silent - speaks little, but each word well chosen and full of xen
Good wisdom
A Handy haversack (its a portal to a demi plane, so should only need one assume item use for all your non-clothing items)
Subtlty & distraction over direct confilict - what's the discipline? Why fight when you can get the guard to simply not see your party and suddenly decided it needs to seek out the privvy?
infinitely patient with children (which you consider everyone else to be - evolutionarily speaking)
the joker of the group, great at impressions
pragmatic

Hope some of them give you a nudge in the direction you want to go in.

Well, no limit on powers they can learn, but a limit the number of different ones per day they can use. So 50/50 there.

That would be the erudite.

Ardent is like a cleric, without the good BAB & HD, and only able to manifest "domain" powers (but are still limited by a max # powers known, but they do get more than 2 domains by level 20)
