After a brief foray into a Favored Soul who beleived himself to be the hand of divine judgement, I have decided on making a new character. This all stems from a problem with my DM, I like to play flamboyant characters with a lot of...well...character.
In our first session my scythe weilding zealot came accross a plantation of slaves...and seeing this as a travesty decided the owner DESERVED to die.

Well...the owner was away, and to make a long story short, we beat up his right hand man, who was quite retarded. (head injury) but he enjoyed torturing the children, raping the women, etc. I elected to kill him. A certain member of our group stood up and said, "I won't let you." I wanted to do it anyway and said I would use my scythe as an improvised throwing weapon. To which he responded "I take your scythe" I was infuriated, there are rules for this sort of thing, the DM hapilly agreed without so much as the opportunity to roll for his disarm.

So...I am working on a more quiet and reserved character, an Elan psion, havn't decided on a discipline yet. Who will work towards elocator at level 9.

I will likely be rather quiet and give no opinion unless it is asked for, and do little to help the players unless they give good reason for me to assist them. I will more than likely not use weapons, in favor of powers and see how that works out for disarming!
Being an Elan he will likely be a new one, only just "turned" and is just getting used to it.
His name will be Lucian, and he will refuse to give a last name, at least initially because he has rejected his former family (a noble house with a bad reputation) he beleives the Elans have saved him from them.

After that I am quite out of ideas, anything is welcome.

Did you tell him that you needed to roll a disarm check? Not to mention initiative, if he so chooses to take it as you are throwing it, and if he tries to take it before than I would say he was metagaming in taking it, because his character wouldn't know he was going to throw it.

Anyway, I kind of know what you mean, and I don't think that that's going to work. Eventually you will see a great roleplaying oppurtunity and it will take a lot of will power not to leap at the oppurtunity.

I have a feeling that if the DM had wanted the character dead, then he would have let you kill him, and the only reason he allowed that was because he wanted the character to live. This means that your DM just railroaded up the wazoo, which isn't right. He might as well have said "A deity come and stops you" because it would have had the same effect.

Try to talk to the DM about this, and then if he refuses to change his mind on future occasions, then go ahead with your plan. Don't expect him to reverse a previous ruling and say "oh, then the character died" but if he is at all reasonable, then he will change it in the future. If this doesn't work, and he says that he doesn't care, the other character was allowed to do that, then fight fire with fire. Disarm the other player, show him what it is like.

P.S. Did you not have any side arm? I would say "Fine, then let me tie him up" and coupe de grace the hell out of him and be done with it; but I suppose that comes from my inate feeling of competitiveness and not letting anyone else take over my actions...

Now, if you really want to **** of your DM, kill him softly. Every time you meet a new character, ask for a name. Purposely let yourself get side tracked. Blatantly ignore a plot hook, just to see what he does for improvision.

Though that one above just comes from my inate feeling of ***holeness... :P

Its not that I am angry as much as I want to teach them a lesson, and I need a justifiable way to play a cheesy a** characer (The DM thinks psionics are cheesy, I don't think so) who can justify looking out for himself more than the party. I want them to miss the old flamboyant me who helped, "like it or not".

All that being said, any ideas on the elan fellow?

I choose elocator because in a previous campaign I had a glaive weilding psy warrior/elocator kill the unholy hell out of two dragons in one combat. Critting for 298 and shooting two energy balls in one turn, respectively. Dimention spring attack, accelerated a energy ball, and quickened another.

The other tried to swallow me flying at full speed.
Immovability as a imediate action, nuff said.
(I think I have the name right)

This has lead him to beleive that elocators are oozing velveta.

A psiwar with quickened energy ball? an interesting way to go. I wouldn't think there would be enough power points to use that and buff sufficiently. Serriously tho unless the two dragons were way below you in CR that was a sad day for that Dm.

But that aside chasing elocator from psion rather than Psi war is an expensive process if you ask me. considering you need three feats to get in and then drop back to a 1 every two power progression it feels like you are shooting your self in the foot. But then this is Character development not Optimisation.

The best time in flavor wise to elocator is nomad. they get all the good transport powers and few other good ones.
Elan is another interesting point from a RP perspective with the whole previous life, why did I do it, oh gods I am immortal what in the hells am I going to do with all that time etc.

Perhaps there is some deeply buried memory that compells you to keep moving and that has blossmed into your pursuit of the Elocator PrC. It also allows for a good Dm to work in some great plot hooks from your previous life.
The text for elan says something along the lines of you have a very vague recollection of your previous life with little real detail.
Eg. You enter an Inn and see some one who looks familiar but you can't remember who they are or why you think you know them. You move on only to find out later that they were a family member from you previous life looking for you to help them out. Or they were your arch nemisis before your change.
Lots of options there.

I love Psionics and Elan are a role playing gold mine you just have to dig a bit to get the goods.

I am chasing elocator from psion because I have already done psywar, and found myself wanting in power points and in skill points. The psion should help remedy this quite readilly.

I won't be an Elocator until level 9, but this will allow for full progression to level 9 spells (eventually) and the extra int should help out the elocator's impressive skill selection.

As of now, I am caught up between Shaper, Kineticist, and Nomad. They all seem to work rather well. The Nomad is the most fluffy for the elocator, but their class list already provides for planar travel, the Shaper is interesting for more expediant travel to his home plane.

I have decided my character will have no memory of his past life, only a faint recollection of the decadence and greed of his family.
He is predisposed to quiet contemplation, constantly trying to unlock his hidden memories, not to make use of them, but rather to learn from them. In combat he will be rather passive, only truly fighting when things turn for the worst or he himself is in direct danger. He has a really intellectual view of fighting, expending resourses only after careful consideration of chance and benifit. Although he may gradually learn to do things for the group with a little more disregard for his own safety, should he ever learn to like them.

Critiques so far? When I am done I will do a formal write up. (at school now)
