| Iuducium05-05-05, 09:40 PM | Okay, I have a party of adventurers in Eberron (so setting specific help is appreciated muchly, but non-specific is also Wonderful!). They are: A half-elven Ranger/Soulknife/Psion, working for the Brelish government (the Dark Lanterns) A human Rogue/Fighter of House Orien A Warforged Fighter acting like he's human. And a Human Cleric of the Sovereign Host, very Machiavellian. What I need is opinions and ideas on bringing together this group's long term aims in something resembling a coherent story. The Half-Elf is much like Boss from MGS 3 (only the mission!) The Rogue wants mostly to explore Xen'drik and join the Wayfinder Foundation. The Warforged wants only happiness and a "family" (the party, really. He'll go wherever the rest of us go) The Cleric wants to A) open a museum dedicated to public education and study of magic to provide for better understanding of it. And B) sell flip-flop sandals and what's basically Converse hi-tops on the side, both with flames painted on them. The general temperament of the party: The Half-Elf follows the Path of Light, and is very aloof, calm, collected. Not much of a talker, blows other party members off sometimes. He has a full-blood elf fiancee, but is afraid of her (she's an actor and a singer, she's somewhat famous in Khorvaire). His player likes a balance of roleplaying and hack/slash.(mostly what Eberron book suggests). The Rogue "worships the Bonus." Basically, he's in adventuring for the money, and hoping for a Dragonmark to appear. Relaxed and laid back, he's apparently okay with anything as long as he's securing his means to survive. Player likes roleplay, but prefers acting like the Prince of Persia. The Fighter is a funny character, and has developed many human-like habits since he was created, most noticeably bandaging his wounds when it won't help him out. Player likes roleplay, but again prefers combat, since that is what his character is for. Likes comic relief centered on his character. The Cleric, while Lawful, and Good and heart, has a disturbingly Machiavellian viewpoint on getting things done, but he'll make us do the dirty work. A bit rebellious against traditional ideals, but generally is a nice person. Racist against gnomes, dwarves (kind of), halflings, and "anything else small that can gang up on me." Player likes combat, has not had much experience in real roleplaying. We're currently on the published module adventure path, and may use some more of those later, after we finish an original plot. Any other info needed, just request it by post or PM. :) |
