So can anyone help me¿? he told me that I can not use any of my previous storylines there for to get it on time I need some help to shove me in the right direction. My last ones I had were in my head from the firs time I played but my DM would not let me use them that they were to advanced. So can anyone help me¿? |

It would help to know what kind of build you are looking at (could influence your desire or goals), character level (denotes how far you have developed as a character - or how much needs to be written to fill in the gaps from level 1 to x) and statistics (helps with the physical description). Also, is he good or evil? Well, in any case, some suggestions include: * Death seeks a worthy herald... and ElvenNec is out to prove his worth. * Chaos fills the world... but not for long! Soon, there will be order, and necromancy is the way to achieve it... also, it's a lot cheaper than making a construct army. * Born into the conglomorate family owning Undead Incorporated, ElvenNec's goal is to ensure that the business thrives! Very soon, zombie servants will be the hottest product in the market - all you have to do is find a way to get rid of The Unseen Servant Corporation. * Negative energy, the bane of life. But ElvenNec finds succor in that dreadful energy. Well, he can't live without it, actually. He studies necromancy to overcome this problem (or perhaps to exploit it?). :) |

Do you want to have lots of undead minions? Do you want to be a master of fear? Do you want to suck the from your foes? Do you want to destroy all undead? Do you wanna be a lich? Were there a lot of undead where you grew up? Did you have an undead mentor? Was your family destroyed by undead? Did your familial estate have a haunting of somekind? Were you a miser and when ghosts came to teach you a lesson on Xmas Eve, you decided you weren't going to take it and want to rid the world of the meddling spirits? |
| Need_A_Life05-24-05, 01:12 PM | If you want a quick, detailed story I can probably write you one, so PM me if you want one. Otherwise I'll give you a quick way to make a story: 1) Start with his parents, mention them briefly and give a few details (where they met, what race they were or something like that). Elans are a possible exceptions to this. ("His parents belonged to the human nobility, marrying because of duty but learning to love each others in time...") 2) Skip most of their childhood, unless you intend to have something major happen there. ("...He grew up without much incident...") 3) Describe a short, exciting event (Adverbs are your friend!). The timespan of this event should probably be an hour or two, after which you make an open ending followed by '...' ("...Knowing what he had done he ran away, his name would be tainted and he executed if he stayed, this way he could be safe. He was free...") 4) Make some note, that explains some quick notes about what happened afterwards, just notes; nothing fancy. ("...He used the fencing he had learned in youth as well as his knack for music to earn himself a coin...") 5) Re-read the whole thing and add adverbs, put in extra sentences describing the mood of the scene, remove clumsy wording and replace it with some word you rarely use (Zephyr and that sort of thing) instead. 6) Look at the colors you describe people as wearing and make the colors match the person from your point of view. Remember; earth colors represent simplicity, purple, red and yellow make things stand out; and black can be used with any color to highlight. Unless it has relevance to the plot you describe it can be changed to make it easier to understand for the reader. Most people don't even realize that they do this when writing, but I want to point it out. 7) No matter how nice you hear it is, don't use it unless you're satisfied. oh and one more thing NEVER ALTER/RE-WRITE/ADD THINGS TO A FINISHED STORY! Trust me... |
