| Shoes11-26-04, 05:41 AM | At the last session I recently ran a player of mine decided to make a call for adventurers (even though they are the adventurers). So I decided to throw togther mix races and classes for his call gave him. Out of the 3 to 4 dozen inexperinced adventurers that showed up, he chose 9 people. They were... Orc Barbarian [m], Elf Sorcerer [f], Elf Ranger [f], Elf Druid [m], Dwarf Figter [m], Dwarf Cleric [m], Halfling Rogue [f], and Human Fighter [f]. What I didn't expect was to actually take them along for the adventure (each one payed of course). So what I need if anybody has any ideas is names and backgrounds for each character. Doesn't matter really seeing each is low level (where the group is high level).Just some things I want though is the elf sorcerer to be evil, the dwarfs are brothers and the human fighter is a snobbish noble. Thanks! |

Elf Sorcerer [f], whispers in her sleep tell her of nightmares of others. She uses these to haunt and terrorize people. She knows it's wrong, but cannot fight her destiny. Elf Ranger [f], believes strongly in the teachings of an archaic prophit, and bases thier favoured enemy on those teachings. Elf Druid [m], spends as much money as he can buying up land, so it can be allowed to regrow. Relitively urban for a druid, trying to teach the joy of nature to the masses. Dwarf Figter [m], keeps a list of every foe who's slighted him, every insult, every blow, and a list of each one he's avenged. Dwarf Cleric [m], worships a non-typical diety, such as We Jass. Believes Mordin is spreading himself too thin, and that appealing to a lesser diety will be better for his people. Halfling Rogue [f], is really obsequious, trying to help people using her finely honed skills. However, has trouble knowing the difference between good and evil. and Human Fighter [f]. Constantly strugeling to overcome preconceptions of gender. Takes feats like power attack and improved bull rush. |

Rather than kill the issue, they donated it to a priesthood. It can't serve in the local militia, so what's left for it but to adventure? If Orc, then was knocked unconcious and accidentally left behind as an underage pup when his camp got raided by another orc clan. A ranger pulled him out of the camp and brought him to civilization, not that it stuck very well. Elf Sorcerer [f], - Out to prove that he's a better spelluser than elven wizards, doesn't care how he has to do it. Also tells them he's self-exiled for refusing to apologize after insulting an elven wizard. Secret: he's an outcast for his evil love of [insert chaotic evil deity here], and is on the run. He isn't looking to betray the party because they're his way of keeping outside of civiliation's eye and proving his point - but if an opportunity comes up that he can't pass up, well, a CE's sorcerer's gotta do what a CE sorcerer's gotta do. Elf Ranger [f], - Bodyguard for the druid. Or/And, trying to find precious gems as a dowry for an elf nobleman's daughter that is beyond his financial reach. Elf Druid [m], - Is investigating evidence of human poaching in the area. Adventuring is just a cover story for his real mission to find the poachers. Dwarf Figter [m], - Following his unjustly outcast brother to redeem their name. Dwarf Cleric [m], - A rival clan framed him for disrespectful behavior to a noble house. The noble was compelled to banish him, but offers him this chance - bring back evidence of his pure spirit and he can return to his clan. Halfling Rogue [f], - A story for a halfling rogue? Thrillseeker isn't good enough? Vanrod Fairpath wants to be the greatest scout the world has ever seen. He's too inexperienced to get the local military to take him, so.... Human Fighter [f]. Impertinent daughter of nobility sneaks out of the house for adventures. She tries to conceal her heritage, but can't conceal her bad attitude. If you want drama, she's in love with another adventurer and is trying to find her forbidden lover or her lover is in the party! Or, she's secretly an egalitarian socialist who wants riches to finance her social agenda. |
