I've got a character concept running around in my head: a mad knight who sees things, not as they are, but as they should be. A heavily Quixotic concept, I'm thinking Pal 2/Knight 6.

It's for an upcoming campaign, so I don't know about books, but I assume Srd and Crystalkeep are fair game.
I'm posting on both the COp and CharDev boards (here at http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?p=14939329), as any tips or ideas would be appreciated. Specifically, on the heavy-hitter archetype; I usually play dex-based characters.

Thanks for your time!

Paladins and clerics and other tricky Roleplay classes should generally be brought to the DM beforehand(Before someone loses their powers for smiting the wrong thing or not smiting it). A mad character should be as well. So should a mad paladin.

Especially when you consider what god would allow for a crazed LG paladin? (I could see CE, but as you are using Knight I doubt you are using Unearth Arcana) If he's going with a different route with religion then "You serve god X. God X will hurt you if you screw up" type thing, then it might be doable.

Unless it's not that literal.
