Greetings!

I'll be playing in a campaign setting being created by our DM and got permission to use the Quori Nightmare PrC from RoE. I'll be playing an Inspired Ardent 5/Quori Nightmare 5/ Psion Uncarnate 1. Only feats chosens are those two feats for quori that shake foes up. Any stories for this dude's backstory?

Inspired are hardly balanced for play in a campaign. Are you sure you don't mean Kalashtar?

Well... Er... Um...

For starters you're going to figure out what kind of outsider you are and pick out a few dozen empty vessles that belong to you in specific. In fact I recomend picking out a family name for the vessles you own. That way when they start dying of old age you can just pick up a son or grandson... or daughter... or granddaughter... or niece or nephew... the whole not having to have a single body thing can get screwy real quick.

Of course you're going to need to know your role in the society... You're of fairly high rank if they let you take on a role as one of the "gods" of sarlona... which you pretty much have to be if you're an inspired and not say a kalashtar, empty vessel, or even quori spirit.

Next up figure out what life was like a few hundred years ago and what role you served in the druid/quori war.

Pick a long term plan that works out over the course of a few thousand years and determine which parts of that plan you intend to be directly involved in. Chances are you are only manifesting yourself in inspired form during that time.

Lastly, were you around before the dreaming dark turned the plane of dreams into a nightmare realm? Were you on their side or did you initially fight for the side of good? Maybe you were a nuetral force?

That should give you a starting point for a background. Of course it'll only be a start and you'll need much more but once you've got that I'll see if I can't help more.
