daphne 04-10-04, 08:20 AM	can anyone give me some tips or ideas about a nice background for a ranger/arcane archer pc? i'd like the second class to be shadow dancer or arcane archer. my pc is a female elf (any subrace suggested?) or half elf (this too i must decide, any hints r welcome), i'd like her to be somewhat introspective and thoughtful, but relentless against her enemies... she also should be a good ranger, Shiallia or Mielikki being her deity, and she would love and protect (using her fighting skills) woods, forests, groves and nature generically. alignment would be NN or CG. thanks in advance, daphne
Son of Khoron 04-10-04, 03:52 PM	Had myself a elven rogue-wizard-ranger-arcane archer once. Son of one of the Queen's Protectors and an elven noblewoman from another House. Lived mostly on Evermeet during his childhood. Unable to cope with Court life and the harsh training by his father (had to become a Knight due to House tradition), the child was sent over to his uncle in the High Forest. The uncle did not believe in his family traditions strictly like his elder brother. The uncle raised the child to a young adult, teaching him everything he knew if the child wished to learned it. The young man learned that his uncle was a Protector of the Forest, an arcane archer who was of great renown in the area. When the young man was of age to 'go beyond the Forest and learn the world's story', the uncle offered him a choice: return to tell me the story and become an arcane archer OR continue to listen to the world and become what it makes of you. Excited because he was given a choice to live how he wanted it to be, the youth agreed to be like his uncle. Hope this helps.
