Nentyarch of Narfell (Gunhuder)

A barbarian of the ancient Nar tribes from the little known Narfell, Gunhuder at an early age wandered into the Rawlinswood forest part of The Great Dale. There he discovered an ancient ruin and an old man who lived there. This man who introduced himself as Godder recognized the young man as a Nar barbarian offered to tell a story.

He began the story of the ancient empire of Narfell. More then a thousand years ago the sorcerous land of Narfell grew mighty on the strength of its unholy mages and cruel priest-lords. These people forged their empire not from statesmanship or diplomatic skill, but through pacts with demons who agreed to serve them. Eventually these demons coupled with the rival empire of Raumathar led to Narfells destruction, but there are people like Godder himself who keep the ancient tradition of Gunhuders people the Nar alive. Gunhuder was intrigued and seeing little advancement for power like this he entered into apprenticeship for Godder.

Gunhuder was a magical prodigy and very good with the demon summoning legacy of Narfell and was quickly surpassing Godder in his studies and abilities. Godder who was not a bad man saw in Gunhuder a burgeoning darkness and sought to either reeducate him or end his studies before Gunhuder could do real damage. When Godder confronted Gunhuder, Gunhuder grew angry that his master and friend could so easily cast him off; Gunhuder attacked his master managing to drive him off but not kill him as Godder was well prepared for the attack.

Gunhuder took Godders possessions and home for himself. Godder himself traveled to Dun-Tharos home to the Druid Nentyarch of the Circle of Leth. Godder and the Nentyarch had their quarrels as Godder a student of the Narfell tradition felt that the master druid should not use the ancient name of Nar kings, or Nentyarchs. The druid however did grant Godder entrance though. Godder told the druid all about Gunhuder and what treat he could pose, the master druid however saw no threat in one man. Gunhuder was left to his own devices growing in power and knowledge.

Gunhuder after a suitable amount of time left Godders old home to travel to Thay home of the Red Wizards, where Gunhuder hoped to learn there special brand of magic to enhance his own summoning powers. Gunhuder was accepted to a Red Wizard school of summoning in Thay due to his already impressive magical abilities. Gunhuder again showed his superiors that he was a prodigy in the field of magic and he again quickly surpassed his fellow students. Upon completion of his second round of schooling Gunhuder decided to stay in Thay a while and study more tomes. When Gunhuder felt the time was right he went back to the Great Dale to find a tower he had read about called Clymph Tower a place once owned by a Demonbinder and now occupied by dozens of trapped demons.

Gunhuder was able to bind, expel, or make infernal deals with all the demons in the keep and took it as his own. Gunhuder found hundreds of tomes in the tower to help him on his way to even greater power all the while summoning, binding, or allying with even more demons. Gunhuder got in his head the idea to forge Narfell anew take over the Dale and surrounding area as a new Empire of Narfell, to at least take back all lands that were formally part of Narfell which would include the lesser country of Narfell, The Great Dale, Thesk, and Thay. Gunhuder named himself after the Nar kings and annoyingly the master druid of The Circle of Leth.

As the new Nentyarch of Narfell Gunhuder went about gathering information on how he could conquer the area. He feels he must destroy the druidic Circle of Leth and the more recent and more dangerous Rotting Mans blightlord army; he might enter into allegiance with the Rotting Man which would spell doom for the Dale but that is unlikely as the Rotting Man currently occupies Dun-Tharos the former capital of Narfell. He is already making overtures to the Red Wizards asking for allegiance and help in his campaign, but both groups know that they would eventually come to a point where they would have to fight each other.

The only group that could stop him at the moment is the Circle of Leth and they are preoccupied with the Rotting Man, the Druidic Nentyarch or the Rotting Man by themselves on equal footing could possibly destroy Gunhuder in single combat, but the odds of that happening are so small to almost be impossible as both the Rotting Man and the Druid are dealing with each other and Gunhuder would never allow equal footing.
