Now I have a dilemma that I hope you can help me with. Normally I have no problem coming up with decent backgrounds for my characters, but then I am ussually playing more roleplay oriented campaigns. Both my roommate and I have been thrust into creating characters for the module Red Hand of Doom. It seems from hearing about it to be mostly a combat oriented adventure. This would be a first time for me. Therefore, I am confused about how to go about setting up our characters. These are the basics: 1. Twin Human Sisters, Riley and Rohm, no last name. 2. Riley (Warlock) and Rohm (Dread Necromancer) 3. Something happened at birth to which Riley was infused with a demon and Rohm got a touch of its powers. 4. I see Riley as very charismatic or having a forceful personality. This is used to keep her 'demon' at bay. 5. Rohm on the other hand is very apathetic but consumed with furthering her ability to summon and manipulate/control undead. 6. I figure, Rohm wants to go adventuring because it can lead to her finding new ways to use her powers. 7. Riley on the other hand would like nothing better than to stay at home enjoying the -good life- but goes with her sister to protect her. 8. We have not really fleshed it out but somehow their parents died when they were young. The family was rich but perhaps outcast for some reason (dealing in the dark arts perhaps?) and living on the outskirts of town. Therefore, when the parents died the siblings were left with quite a fortune and had no need of outside work. This is where I am. I can't come up with more details. I really dont know more about the adventure world, I have never played the module before and my DM has yet to give me any relevant information. Any advice would be helpful. Just to flesh it out more... perhaps more indepth characterization of the twins. Thank You for your consideration, Ashley and Kassidy |

Perhaps it was the birth of the twins themselves that got them ostrcized from the community, and they secreted enough away that they could hide the whole family safely... until some sort of mysterious diasease took their lives. Did it have something to do with the children? Do they feel like they caused it somehow, or only one of them does? That could be pretty interesting. |
