Save-vs-DM 03-13-05, 04:19 AM	Not sure on the invocation names (I'd be better help if it wasn't so late). Yet if your character is female, how about renaming the class Loreleigh (as in the ancient legend of the female faye type who lured sailors to their deaths). Otherwise how about Changeling? (The only problem being that it is also the name of an eberron race - but if you're not in that campaign world it might just work!) Cheers, Save vs DM
Tealgorthian 03-13-05, 04:27 AM	While they are good ideas, my character is both male, and in Eberron. Figures, eh? My idea for a female name for the Warlock class was Bansidhe, actully.
AutumnRoo 03-13-05, 12:12 PM	You could use the Old English word for warlock, waerloga. Sounds cool, I think. And I'm sorry, but I can't come up with other names for the invocations. Do you actually find it necessary to use the names for them in-character? I've been playing a warlock for a while, and he's never referred to anything by the wording in the Complete Arcane. He just says things like "When we enter the room, I'll blast anything I see." The rest of the party knows what that means now. When he gets new abilities, he just says that the fiends with whom he made a pact are granting him more power. "I can see what they see, now!" (Devil's Sight and Detect Magic)

Depends on the Warlock. My last one didnt. Except he called his Eldritch Blast a "Power Stream", but that name was invented for him by a party member. This one will. He's kinda eliteist, and will, generally, name things. I also have a tendancy to rename spells when a play a Sorcerer, so... Admittedly, I sometimes rip off the names from other sources. Like I had one call 'Fireball' "Explosion Array". You could use the Old English word for warlock, waerloga. Sounds cool, I think. It's an option, but I'm still gonna try and work on something else. I hate writer's block.
Arkonth 03-14-05, 09:44 PM	How about simply Unseleigh Invoker, or Master of The Unseilegh Court. Or maybe something about dark crossed with light, hmm perhaps Ebon Fey?
