im playing a rogue for the first time, and i plan on taking him into assassin (all core 3.5). My question is what weapon is best for a rogue? I was thinking the 2 wep fighting, but with death attack, it might be a waste, so i though maybe spiked chain, or something Wep Finess can be applied to. Any rogues out their willing to share any type of build the though was successful?

Why would TWFing be a waste with Death Attack???

For the number crunching I'd refer you to the character optimization boards.

TWF is a good idea for a rogue, If you get into a flanking position every one of your attacks will be a sneak attack which means you'll get to handle that fistful of D6's a lot more often. Of course weapon finesse is a must.

If your an elf i recommend on a rapier and a compsite/regular longbow.

yea, TWF with Rapier and Dagger or if you can spare the -4 to off-hand, dual Rapiers (make them keen ASAP).
