I simply wish to ask if anyone has any tips on properly roleplaying a character who is slowly going from a neutral take-it-as-it-comes mercenary to a vampric, shadow magic using killer. He was first lawful neutral, and the DM has allowed that he may be lawful evil or maybe neutral evil due to the strange circumstances of his transformation (the fact that he was transformed by a cursed coffin, and not actually drained, etc).

He has no master, and was transformed in Ravenloft, which may have some impact. The only allegiances he currently holds is to his mercenary guild. At the moment he does not even know he is a vampire. That will come later. On a final note, he is a daywalker(immune to sunlight, less powerful, etc).

Any help would be appreciated!

Does his lawfulness reflect that he lives by a personal code? Perhaps his code is failing him in certain situations. Increasingly frustrated by being unable to cope with the world (or himself) meeting his own expectations, he slowly begins taking on an attitude of "Whatever works, goes." This would take you through LN->N->NE. How's that sound?

That's a very good suggestion TSC. I'll make sure to use that one in future times.

Any others?

Thanks!
