| Solfair03-18-07, 08:00 AM | Hi, a friend of mine will be playing a 4th level character that starts out with a whooping 20 Dex. However since she'll be playing a sorceror she does not have many dexterity based skills in class, so even though she's amazingly vigorous she'll never be able to "play" on her 20 dex since this will most likely involve a Tumble or Balance skill check. Could you people offer some advice on how to "play" 20 dex, without neccessarily resorting to skillchecks? I've been thinking about it and dex is not such an obvious roleplaying stat, no matter how high it is. (compared to strength and cha eg) |

Here's afew examples, but to be honest you'll need to come up with some to fit her concept. I'll assume her PC is female for the examples. As she walks across the cracked tiles, the dust does not even stir from her graceful step. The maidens posture is flawless as she walks through the bustling Tavern, nimbly avoiding brushing shoulders with the more burly patrons. those are third person examples, but just by adding a word in, you could get a better effect. Instead of "I move back and cast Magic Missile" It could be "I lunge backwards, landing softly before casting Magic missile". Well... that's my suggestion. take it as you will. |
