how do you role play a thri-keen? Like what makes them tick, how would they phrase things, what possible motivations/agendas could they have? Why would they be a certain class/prestige class? I don't know what kind of angle to take as far as playing him is concerned. Thanks for any help you can give.

most of what im saying i draw from DarkSun (not the revised version, which sucked).
kreen are very much pack-oriented; once one adopts a group of adventurers as his pack, he will be intensely loyal to it (the group).
they dont tend to put much stock in arcane magic, preferring to rely on their physical and psionic abilities, and to a lesser extent divine magic. their extreme self-sufficiency (and their odd shapes, of course) would tend to discourage collecting lots of property, since it tends to slow them down more than anything else.
as nomads, they also dont worry themselves much about permanent fixtures, fortresses and the like; for the most part home is where they stand.
they are very big into hunting, for food primarily; they also tend to view other social interactions in that light. for instance, if one were to walk up to a shop, they would model their haggling after a hunter/prey relationship (basically, the one to take control of the conversation would have a more active role, and a slight advantage in bargaining position).
they dont really need much motive to adventure, since 'wandering around with everybody else' is what they tend to do anyway. 'promoting the welfare of the pack' is another big item, so they generally wont mind contributing to party wealth, combat potential, what have you.

A guy in my DnD group rp'es a Thri'kreen as being very much without a normal human sense of humor. What the rest of the group finds amusing, he would ask "what is the meaning of this?" Someone would say "it was a joke", and he'd respond simply with "oh, I see. Ha. Ha-ha."

He didn't understand alot of humanoid tendencies...so he seemed very alien.
