| joemcoffee03-01-04, 12:23 AM | I'm thinking about playing a human cleric/runecaster for a 16th level campaign we're starting. I'm thinking that the guy would draw his power from the earth or perhaps the crafting of metal and/or stone, or something like that. I've never played a cleric with no deity, so this is kind of difficult to imagine for me. Any suggestions on how to create a runecaster who loves to make things from metal and stone, but doesn't worship a particular deity? Any character history ideas or roleplaying tips would be greatly appreciated. |

Since he crafts things out of these materials, perhaps there's something spiritual about the crafting process..... sort of like refining or purifying the magical/spiritual properties that already exist in stones and metals. |

Perhaps they are the same in the current publications, but if not try and get your hands on an old book. There's lots of good information on powers and societal roles. |
