| Teamshibi01-13-04, 01:30 AM | How can you write a history about a character whos lived a life free and lazily? I am playing a Satyr. He's lived in the wilds for his whole life, frequenting a border town for women, to sell his wines, and to make money playing his melodys. No real conflicts as of yet (that I've formulated anyway) and nothing to really tell. How then do I write a good background? lol. Any help would be appreciated. |

The forest he lived in was destroyed/ caught fire, so he had to leave it. 3. The forest he lived in got infested by monsters/undead/whatever, and now he is searching a way to turn the forest back in to the lovely place he lived in. 4. You said he lived a life free and lazily. Maybe he went out to search Paradise, a place of happiness, food, wine and pleasure for the rest of his life. (I know there is a name for that place but I don't know how this place is called in English) Hope this helps |

From there he goes to a big city, learns some archery, acts, etc. Past thats all fine and dandy. Problem is is working his upbringing to par with the neglected children and the proud dwarf raised in his fathers image and such. I mean, I am playing a lazy, happy minstrel with the problems of womanizing and boozing at any chance he gets. I need a good background and honestly I cant work in the first half of his life in more than a paragraph or so lol. |
