The set up is we've all been drafted into the militia, and we're 2nd level, so we're kind of the go-to guys if something weird is going on. My character is a scout that has been working for the aristocrat-bard's dad for a long time. My job is to keep him out of trouble. I'm LG, with NG tendancies. The aristo-bard is a CN bookworm, and the wizard is a CN troublemaker, who may or may not be the bastard son of the the aristo-bard's dad. I watched "Last of the Mohicans" for inspiration, and will be watching LOTR again to get more inspiration from Legolas. I might even watch the Patriot. My role in the party is complicated, because I'm the "tank" and a scout, and a bit of a skill and knowledge monkey, but I lack the disable devices and open locks bits of a true rogue. Stat-wise, I did pretty decent, as did the wizard. The bard wasn't so lucky. I don't think it's going to be a big combat campaign...more of an exploring and questing game. So basically, I need help coming up with more personality than being good at following orders and rolling my eyes at the boring minutae of the bard's book-learning. We've only had one session, and it had no combat, so I don't even know how good my build is. I guess I'm just having trouble being LG and a hit-and-run specialist. I'm working my way to Spring Attack by level 6, and I'll probably even have Cleave by then. After that, I may go for ranged combat, especially if we can hire ourselves a "real" tank. |

That, I could probably deal with. I'm just trying to get the LGness to jive with the at home in the woodsness. Maybe I should read more of that Hunt for Red October guy. |
