Second (or more) Opinion(s) [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-15-08, 12:43 AM I just finished a drawing up a character and i wanted a second opinion.
i tried to make a back-story that our DM could play with a little.
This is the first time I've drawn up a rouge before.

Human Rouge 1
Age: 16
Str:15
Dex:17
Con:14
Int:16
Wiz:13
Cha:10
Biography:
Sacheil is the name he gave himself, seeing as he never had any living relatives to name him. he does however have a signet ring that he assumes was from one of his parents. though he is human he has a cat like tail. he started his thieving life at age six when a member of the local thieves guild found him on the street trying to steal an orange from a food stand. they taught him how to cut a purse, how to forge a passport, and how to look completely different. his mentor Gradus taught that resourcefulness is a kin to godliness. on his sixteenth birthday he and guys went to the tavern to celebrate. during the merry making a traveler said he recognized his signet ring. the only information the traveler could provide was that he saw the symbol in a city in the north. a few weeks later he gathered his gear and set out for adventuring to find out who he is, the loot is a bonus.

Personality: CG/ his Demeanor changes to fit the situation, when not doing anything combat related he is happy-go-lucky and laid back. he entertains himself with riddles, puzzles, and throughly enjoys confusing people. when in Combat situations or similarly stressed times he is calm, collective, and calculating. a strategist, uses the environment and any items to his advantage, For example thunderstones against spellcasters.

Quirks: when ever he is nervous he strokes his tail. when he runs he uses one of his hands as well. Afraid of snakes. Generous, especially to homeless children (since he was one). tends to quote famous lines a lot.

Again this is my first drawing of a rouge, and any comments, criticism, suggestions, or just questions about him are much appreciated.

03-15-08, 09:06 PM Err.. A tail? I wouldn't allow it if I were to DM. Otherwise he seems fine..

03-15-08, 10:34 PM well at first i ran the tail idea as a joke and the DM liked the idea so i stuck with it. for all intents and purposes its a deformity.
hence the low charisma

03-16-08, 05:24 PM If he finds his parents, will one of them be a Catfolk or some other cat-like race? 'Cause I'm no Geneticist, but I'm pretty sure babies don't just pop out of the womb looking like Hobbes the Tiger.

thats the beauty of it, he doesn't know. i don't know. so finding out will be fun.
for all he (or I) knows it could be a curse, a surgical implant, inherited trait of a cat like race, or simply he is a freak of nature.
