| tahl_liadon08-15-05, 02:00 PM | one time, i ran across a collection of random lists of traits to help add depth to character building. essentially, i would roll a d100 and select the trait from the list that corresponding to the result of my roll. it worked something like this: i would roll a d100 and get, say, 26. that would correspond to "selfishness" (as an example) on the list of 100 personality" traits. i would play my pc with selfish motives. there was also another list of physical characteristics. my character would, for example, have a huge gash on her face, or a limp, etc. and i think there was a psyhosis list too (e.g. obsessive compulsive; phobias, etc...). can't remember. anyhow, has anyone run accross this on the web? or know of something like it? thnx in advance! |

| tahl_liadon08-15-05, 03:07 PM | found it! right under my nose! apparently, i had downloaded and formatted it a bit to make it look nice. i kept it for my reference. check it out here: www.pk1475.org/visitor/dnd/CharacterTraits.pdf note to original author (whomever you may be): if you recognized that this is your material, please let me know so i can give appropriate credit :) thnx! it seemed i didn't include the source :( |
| tahl_liadon08-15-05, 03:22 PM | it gets better... the original author also made an excel file that dynamically roll these traits: www.pk1475.org/visitor/dnd/CharacterTraits.xls i followed the url included in this file but it was outdated. |
