| Archangel_Arcanis11-17-05, 02:08 PM | OK i'm playing a Dwarf fighter that has a self imposed banishment from the dwarven kingdom, he did this because he disfigured another dwarf due to a dispute and is now out trying to repent for being so foolish and letting himslf get that angry. Now i'm looking for a prc that fits him in all of his tankness other than DD since he realy wouldn't take that class. any suggestions? ps. i would have put this on the co board but they wouldn't help much as this is a very story driven game, and the dm won't let us just take a class because we qualify our character must have reason to want to take up such a carrier. |

One quick comment - not all of us are living encyclopedia's of D&D books, etc so it is better to include more information than less. To that end ... what is "DD"? Dwarven Defender? You might want to look at the Tactical Fighter from the minitures handbook - seems like a possible tank style PrC, but agains that depends on your character storyline. |

If you think that's a good idea, I'm sure that there are some good fighter/cleric prestige builds you can go for. |

I always try and give a reason/cause for their cursing ability, ie, grief, loneliness, hate etc. Perhaps your character is filled with such regret that he can project that onto others in the form of his hexblade curse. Failing that, just make him a fighter/barb who is self destructive, ie; give him the die hard feat and make him fly into battle and never flee. Hope this helps. Later |

To spice things up, what was the nature of the dispute? Rivals for some girl's affection or a dispute over property? How did the dispute resolve itself? Character gone leaving the disfigured dwarf the winner of the prize or did the other dwarf loose out too? |
