| TheBeardedElf07-09-07, 01:33 PM | I am playing a warforged artificer named Self. Self recently found a magic lamp that grants it one wish. I was thinking of wishing for a stackable version of the artisan feat that reduces XP, and possibly the gold cost as well. the wish doesn't specifically say you can gain feats with it, but in the description it doesn't limit your wish to what is listed. Self is also going to become something like a prophet and start a movement of equality between the birthed and the constructed races (living constructs, intelligent items, and possibly other constructs too). Should I use the wish for something along these lines instead? any suggestions would be appreciated thanks |

| TheBeardedElf07-09-07, 07:47 PM | I was hoping to get the three, but my DM is wondering if the wish spell can actually grant feats. I would settle for the Gold and XP if only two, because I have a homunculus that can craft for me, and there's the unseen crafter spell in Magic or Races of Eberron, so I don't have to worry about time. |
| OatsMalone07-09-07, 08:39 PM | Hullo, pal! I like the idea of prophet-ing it up better, honestly. And I have the license to say so, since it's my game. *shrug* You already craft like a madman/madmachine, and while I can't blame you for trying to get even better at it, the prophet stuff would set you on the right track. Oh, and I would allow you to reduce the gold cost with the wish if that's what you decide to go for. |

That said consider simply wishing to be able to speak to the world if you want to be a prophet. A once per tenday use of sending that you can send to every living being on the planet.:D Other alternatives include wishing for the spirit to be the defining quality of life, wishing for the ability to see things from both sides of the argument (living and construct), a good old fashion I wish I were a greater force of personality (inherent cha bonus), etc. Of course many of these options are very DM open results. I once wished for honor to be restored to the Salomnic Knights in a dragonlance campaign where I was playing Sturm and they were still widely hated. The DM declared that suddenly Salomnic Knights around the world started acting with honor again but it did nothing (immediate) to help their relations with the common folk. |
