Shadowsun Ninja name [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-20-08, 01:38 AM Well I'm making a Shadowsun ninja from the TOB and in the prestige class description it says they adopt a new name ( in case your wondering the sample ninja's name is Doomveil), However I'm completely at a loss as what that new name should be. Any suggestion would be great.

If it helps he's a tiefling

02-20-08, 06:23 AM For a Tiefling, I'd go with something like Redemption, or Redeemed.

02-22-08, 03:33 AM Not that I'm a big fan of the whole re-naming thing (always seemed a little silly in a modern setting) but here's a few.

Darkflame
Redeye
Deathspirit
Blackblade

02-22-08, 04:00 PM Something emphasizing opposing forces would be consistant with the Shadowsun PrC.

If we stick with light and dark, you'd get things like:

Brightshadow
Darkstar
Daywraith

If we look as some other oppositions:

Coldflame
Highfallen
Deathborn
Softblow (on second thought, I'd avoid this one)
Bleakjoy
Brightsorrow
Stonebird

OF these, I like the last two.

If we were to try and work in the racial heritage, we might get something like...

Bleakangel
purefiend
Devilblessed

And if we didn't want the double word gimmick, you might choose something like:

Penance
The Purified

Out of all of my suggestions, I still like Brightsorrow the best. I hope something I've said either strikes you as a good name, or inspires a better one of your own.
