| The_Inside_Man12-22-07, 10:41 PM | I'm playing an Elf named Zan Po= Monk 15/Master Thrower 5 He is Lawful Neutral and follows his own code which is: 1.Never force your thoughts or self upon another sentient creature (rape, or domination effects). 2.Never trust halflings! 3. No completely and utterly pointless killing (not violence, just killing). He uses a combination of feats, class features and abilities to throw 13 shuriken a round. His shuriken are wounding, flaming, and returning so he can just throw them at the enemy and drain most thing's Con in about 3 rounds:D Where did he learn his skills? Why does he adventure? |

(1) You need to come up with the basics for the character; what he looks like, age, height, weight, location born, do you have parents (are they still alive), do you have siblings. I think it best that you come up with this information. (2) Do you want your character to be forced into the monk ways by tradition, parents or choose that path? (3) His skills where likely picked up by a monk organization, hermit master or both, which would you want? Hermits can live in forests, mountains, anywhere as long as it is isolated. A monk temple or community is likely to be slightly removed from the wider community, but not completely cut off from the outside world. How he picked up his skills is much more fun? Listing the training process would be dull, have a look at this. http://www.noob.us/miscellaneous/extreme-shaolin-monk-training-video/ (4) Have you a temple, shrine or location that you trained at? If you do, come up with a name for it. (5) Why does a monk character adventure and not stay with his brother monks? Well there are a few possible reasons. Your character could have done something wrong that ment banishment from the orgainzation. There my be some great pilgrimage to find the characters moral compass. The character could be searching for a person who is important: Father, Mother, Brother, Sister, spiritual leader, holy person or creature. Searching for a scared lost shrine or temple is also another monk like reason for leaving the brother-hood. Try checking out the following site to get an idea of what attitude or way of thinking your character has. http://www.warriormonk.org/Home.html Prom |
