Allright, i'm making a character for my friends campaign, and i'd just like some feedback. were starting out at lvl 3. im a paladin 3, and my race is dragonborn human (wing aspect). i plane to take 8 levels of paladin (the UA variant for extra feats instead of spellcasting, 1 at 4th and 8th) and then become a vassal of bahamut (BoED). it is a pvp campaign, with 2 DM's, a good party, and an evil one. I've kind been thinking that he'll end up being a mobile tank/emergency medic.ive got a bunch of backstory, here it is.

Angelus

Angelus was born a prince of the land of Shelarn. He was born to King Iuris and Queen Genetrix. They were overjoyed that they conceived a son, and raised him as a proper prince. He was schooled in the ways of combat, as well as the ways of the noble courts of humans, dwarves and elves. He was a quick learner, but as a child he always seemed to have his mind on something else. He was entering adolescence when he began to appear gaunt, and sleepless. When asked about it by his caretaker Magis, he always replied that nothing was wrong; he had just been having strange dreams. Magis Became worried, and hired a nomad oneiromancer to divine the young prince’s dreams. In the morning, Magis went to the diviner, and asked what he had seen. The diviner seemed gaunt as well, and all he could speak of was the sensation of flying, and a calling deeper than any he had ever known. He left immediately that day, and rumors say he seeks the calling from the prince’s dream. When Magis questioned the prince again, this time with information about this dream, he seemed alarmed. He began to seclude himself from the other members of the castle, and was rarely seen outside of his chambers. He studied many occult texts, and books of sorcery and magic. There was one tome in particular, with which he was never seen without. Ŧóma Ęs Đræcðnîs was its title, and he seemed to read it repeatedly, to no end. He took books from the castle library and hid them in his room. On the eve of his 16th nameday, he gathered up many strange materials, and retreated to his room. When Magis brought him his evening meal, he discovered that the door was locked. Worried for his prince, and that he was practicing dark magik, he ran to inform the king and queen. Unfortunately, they were engaged in negotiations with an ambassador from a foreign kingdom, one with which war had been brewing. Allowing a mere servant to interrupt would be akin to slapping the Foreign king in the face, so orders had been given only to allow Angelus to enter, and only in the gravest of emergencies. Though he begged and pleaded with the guards, they were adamant about not letting him in. The negotiations were long and slow, but when the king emerged at last, he emerged with a wide grin on his face, victorious. As his gaze swept the room though, he grin turned to a frown. He spotted Magis, loyal Magis, with pain and anxiety written all over his face. He bid Magis to tell him what was amiss, and Magis babbled, something about the prince in his room, and dark magic. The king was alarmed, for he and the queen had been unable to produce another heir, and the prince must remain pure and untainted by any devilry or magik of the dark. He quickly gathered his personal guard and ran to his sons quarters. When he encountered the locked door, he shouted to unlock it. When no response was forthcoming, he tol his soldiers to knock it down, panic written all over his face, seeming decades older than his age. As the door exploded inwards, there was a sharp, cracking noise.
As the king rushed into the room, he hurriedly glanced around, looking for any trace of his son. There where books strewn everywhere, and in the middle of the room sat a large egg with a line straight down the middle. There was another sharp *crack* and the king realized that was not a line down the middle, but a crack, and the egg was hatching. Little pieces began to fall, as the blood drained from his face. He ordered his men forward, and stood back behind the court wizard. As the men stepped forward, their face grim and prepared to face whatever demon the young prince had created, the egg burst, shards flying everywhere. There was a bright light and a chorus, a sweeter melody than the king had ever heard. All of his men seemed relaxed and off guard, and inside he was screaming to himself, to break this evil curse and kill the demon. But he knew somehow, that there was no threat here, that this was something holy. He felt compelled to kneel, and somehow knew he was in the presence of a god. As his knees touched the cold, marble ground, he heard a voice, far off speaking to some being, and it seemed vast and powerfull, his mind too fragile to hear or understand the message being portrayed. For seconds that seemed to be hours, he knelt, feeling peace and humility. When the presence vanished he looked up, startled, as if he had just awakened from a dream. He saw in front of him a man… No, not a man, a dragon, that seemed to be a man, standing in front of him, golden scales glistening in the light of the dawn. He knew, instinctively, through the bond all parents possess, that this creature, no, being, was his son.

Shortly after his awakening, Angelis gathered up his things and left the castle, vowing to live life as a common man, helping those in need and ridding the world of Tiamat’s spawn. He took naught but his personal things and a single manservant, leaving the Ŧóma Ęs Đræcðnîs somewhere in the library, there for those who seek it, those who hear the call.

It has been little more than a year, and the young prince has traveled far from his homeland, fighting evil and protecting those who cannot do so themselves. He spares not a thought for his kingdom, or the responsibility that shall one day fall upon his shoulders. His mind lies on only his holy mission, the one bestowed upon him by his lord,
Bahamut, the platinum Dragon, Father of the Dragonborn.

any ideas for extra flavor? or any PrC that might work well with him? or any other paladin variants that trade spellcasting for something?
