Some help with my biggest challange yet [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-21-05, 02:59 PM Normaly I tend to RP characters of the LG alignment. Recently I've chosen to take a giant leap out of my zone of fimiliarity and play a NE character. Where people would argue that CE is the most extream, I find that NE is more so as there is a consistant pattern to their actions.

I've never played anything that wasn't either LG, LN, NN or NG before, and I'm wondering if anyone can give me pointers on how to pull it off. I'm playing a Spellstitched Necropolitan Cleric 5/warlock 1/True Necromancer 14. Starting as a level 3 Cleric and pretty much just leveling straight through the build.

My charactor's back ground is that he belongs to a long line of warlocks and his father is obsessed with becoming the overlord of their warlock clan (1 in every 5 people of their clan are warlocks). His father had 2 sons (amous[my character] and andrew[orignal, huh?]) and decided that the best way for his sucess at becoming an overlord was to have his 2 sons go through the ritual of becoming Spellstitched Necropolitans. Andrew went first and didn't survive. Amous being the priest that he is, had his body preserved, vowing to one day find a way to bring his brother back again. This also made Amous rebelious and he tried to run away not wanting to share his brother's fate. His father being too powerful had Amous go through the ritual. After he re-awoke, Amous created signifigant amounts of chaos and ran off in the confusion vowing to raise and army of undead and return to extract revenge agains his father and take his place as the eternal overlord of his clan.

He worships Afflux (i though it appropreate as he is on a quest for knowledge and that is one of afflux's domains.)

I've got an idea as to what I want to do with this character, but I've never played evil before, so I'm asking for some pointers.

Would be nice if you added a decription of the personality and some details... his looks, what he does and so on.

The rituals were preformed by hired clerics/wizards...

Personality, well he is going to become a necromancer (and is already well on his way. Has a zombie dragon wormling) and he serves Afflux (a god of knowledge and death who likes to use torture to extract the information he seeks), and as a cleric of him, I'm very inquisitive and secreative in terms of keeping my identity to myself.

My character is undead. 6'3", is dresed in a black chain shirt, fine leather gloves, Leather leggings (human leather :devil: ) and boots. and wears a gimp mask (to hide his undead nature from the party.) A rusty (yet powerful) shield and morningstar are in his hands at all times.

He avoids talking about himself, and will withdraw from conversations that become too personal, yet he is a natural leader and commander, and has fallen into this position with the group.
