The other party members outclass me by far, but I mainly play for the fun so that's no big deal to me. What I want to do though, is still make some fun happen in the adventure. We spend lots of time at sea. We have our own boat, an armada actually, and a crew of about 1000 men to man all our boats. We only have our party (4-6 people usually) and about 20 other crew members on board our ship and we normally don't bring other ships with us, they sit at dock and run tests and stuff. Our group of people have effectively taken over the harbor city where we make port most of the time. I'm just wondering if anyone has some good ideas to liven things up? We kind of get bored a lot by just killing things, looking for some RP fun. We have a druid, mystic thurge, cleric, pison, legendary captain, and some super good monk from the exalted deeds book. |

| b3jsd73jfx03-08-06, 05:20 AM | No... he's the only "good" one. The majority of us are lawful neutral, one is chaotic neutral. |
| MasterOfPsychic03-08-06, 05:57 AM | Then you start commanding ships to trad to get money... then you start invading towns... |
| Shaggy_Shaggs03-08-06, 08:50 AM | Why not get yourself some specialized gear and try some adventuring underwater? Gods only know how many ships have sunk and left treasure on the bottom, that should appeal to the greed of the nongood types. And of course the chance to make sure nothing evil is down there messing around out of sight ought to appeal to the exalted character. It might especially appeal to your druid - the sea floor is a wilderness of its own, and how often does he get the chance to explore that particular sort of wildland? This may sound like just another crunchy dungeon crawl idea, but it's a great opportunity for roleplay. There could be anything down there. Neutral ghosts, entirely unknown species, mysterious civilizations insidiously preparing under cover of water to destroy the land - you name it, it could be down there. The mystery factor is high, suspense and paranoia could run rampant, it could be a really tense and satisfying adventure. |
| Fithero03-08-06, 09:44 AM | This may take some work with your dm, but perhaps your characters find a new collection of islands that arnt on any maps... -the elven home where the elves retreated to -a ring of islands where dinosaurs still roam.. and rule -a long forgotten site where the end of the world was nearly invoked (think of all those james bong movies.. the "island of doom" and all that) Or perhaps you sail off the end of the world (or into a whirlpool portal) that takes you to another plane... and now your sailing these totally unknown waters... the stars dont make much sense... and that sign on the coast next to the river mouth your going down says "River Styx" There are tons of things to do man... if having a fleet of ships is getting boring... perhaps you loose them somehow... your fame/infamy is that great that pirates or guardsmen come and take/destroy them. Hope this helps a bit. Later |
