Street Dancing Character [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-25-07, 12:52 PM So anyway, Ennis Lacoth is a grey elf, actually born of a half-elf father and a grey elf mom, but for purpose of munchkinese, he is a grey elf. His elven name is so much longer and I can't be bothered to type it out.

Anyway, his half-elf father is a professor at the local mage academy. In his eighth year, his father enrolled Ennis in the academy. But the young Ennis (I think 8 years in elven years is around 1.5 years in human?), grew so bored and couldn't stand the classroom. So he runs away all the time (Can I ask how the aging of an elf works? do they physically age as much as a human being before plateauing at around 20 years+ apperance). He mixes with a street crew in the back alleys and they have dance offs with rival street crews. Yeah I know this is Dungeons and Dragons, not Dinner and Dancing.

I haven't any idea why i am typing it into this forum, but anyway, this character is really rude and rebellious to authority and sarcastic to boot. A real mental age of a kid although he definately looks in his early 20s (I think I will put his age at around 70 which is like 10 years old human).

Im wondering about that too...

Sounds like an interesting character, a few points though.

I think humans and elves physically age equally until they hit about 25-30.... then elves just sort of stop aging for a while (a long while.) Elves are not babies for 30 years or whatever, physically or mentally.

If he is an elf, make him something like 20-30... im totally against elves beginning their adventuring career at age 120 or so, and only being 1st lvl.

As for the character himself, he sounds pretty cool. Characters who can dance are always interesting.

One thing you need to set in stone though, is what form of dance is he skilled in? I had a wild elf who was a break dancer (stupid, i know, but it suited the character... he had pink and silver, sparkling, flurro parachute pants which acted as a cloak of reisistance :P)

And its always interesting when a character with +31 to his dance check would just stop, put a hat down onto the ground and start dancing on the side of the street :D
