How should I say it? How should I react? etc." When I do speak I find the words get caught in my throat or I lose what meaning I wanted to convey halfway through a sentence. I myself am a pretty good actor. I spent most of highschool in theatre and won several awards for my acting. So it's not a problem of shyness or role playing inexperience. I just don't feel I'm quite in touch with my character. My character is a Lawful Good Fighter 2 named Samuel Visit. It's quite a departure from the Chaotic Good/Nuetral rogues I usually play. This might be the source of my problem. So.. What could I do to help myself get into the mindset of my character? I'm thinking I might sit down and write out in depth his history and see if that helps me get a better grip on the character. So far it just boils down to "Ex City Guard leaves city because of corruption then moves to equally corrupt city and gets caught up in the intrigue" sort of a "They just keep dragging me back in" scenario. |

Since you're not a Paladin or a cleric, you don't have to worry about being a "paragon of virtue", just do what you believe is right and say what you mean. It's that simple. You don't even have to tell people what is right. Most people who would be considered Lawful/Good simply let their actions say what is right and wrong and only speak up about something if it seriously offends their morals. |
