Last thursday the DM has closed another chapter in his campaign and announced 10 years of downtime for everyone. It all was pretty neat and the DM didn't need to encourage me to write something that happened inbetween.
First things first here is the biography that goes with the character:

secondly the important things that happened to Bart the druid:

http://boards.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=585176
The short story is: A hag had chained little kids to her armor and unless we took a -4 penalty on our attacks there was a 50% chance we'd kill one of the children. Bart wildshaped into a bear and started mauling the hag but he didn't take the -4 penalty, because when bart wildshapes the mind takes a bit of the animals shape.
Well he was pretty torn up over that got into a bit of a scumble fueled depression. He couldn't wildshape for a while which pretty much amazed everyone.

Then the real fun started
http://boards.wizards.com/showthread.php?t=605887
We tried destroying an artefact we had and that went horribly wrong. We where in stasis for about half a millenium and woke up in modern times where Bart learned something horrible. You see one of the children captured by the hag was the princess and future ruler of the kingdom we where in. She was a bit traumatized by the entire thing and when she rose to power she ordered all the groves in her kingdom to be wiped out and so my character was responsible for the death of some thousand druids most of which died on the rack or through some other means of torture.

Now at that point my character sort of snapped. Torn up with grief he decided that all this wasn't real. Everything he would do here in this time wouldn't matter. He would go home and set things right.
And he did some pretty awful stuff there. The drow told him that they could get him back home if he got rid of a mining village. So he destroyed the mine using mustard seeds and plant growth breaking the dam that powered the lift and cooling systems. He flooded the village and killed almost everyone inside.
Later he murdered a blacksmith just to confirm that the paladin in the party had become evil. That about wraps it up for the biggest evil deeds. There's some breaking and entering along with some assault and battery here and there not to mention the lying cheating and stealing he's done to get what he needs. But it was all for a good cause and it doesn't matter because he is going to change the future.

And he did! We found a way of going back and we went back, went to find the hag again and rescued the children. There was a war still going on. We fought in it and through a long and hard struggle the united free lands where able to defeat the evil gnomish republic and we where lauded as heroes.
Immediately. But before the war was over Bart had gone home to the grove where he had left the love of his life some months before and he proposed to her and she accepted.
After the war I was given my own grove as a reward for the heroic deeds I did in the war and a seat on an advisory council that now pretty much leads the former gnome republic.

So is he still evil or has he gone back to good?

Cos... that stuff he did in the future didnt happen to everybody else, but it did happen for the time travellers.

So, it'd be kinda hard for him to be the *hero* when he killed all these innocents and stuff like that.

Oh, and does he have his wild shape ability back yet?

Great story by the way, love the whole time travelling aspects, very cool.

Well he is repenting his sins, when the party got back they did rescue the princess and all that and Bart knew that he did some very bad things, though I doubt it that he would really work hard to repent for the things he did in the future since accorinding to his logic, or what passes for logic in his head it all will never have happened because he changed it.

He can wildshape again. He resumed usage of that ability when he snapped.

So what I'm thinking right now:

After undoing the damage he caused while fighting the hags Bart went straight home as fast as Aquila (his dire eagle animal companion) could carry him. Because if there is one thing he knew for certain. One thing he realized that was important was that he loved Sondirra and he did not want to lose her again. So he went home and proposed to her for marriage and thankfully she accepted. But first there was a war that had to be fought. The Grome republic was encroaching on the eastern kingdoms. So he gave Sondirra, a yellow bandana, mounted his eagle and rode off to war.
There he fought alongside his friends against the wicked gnome republic and their filthy steam tanks. Kingdom of the elven isle and the dwarven mountian kingdoms united in a last effort to beat back the invaders. And they did. Slowly but steadily the two armies drove the gnomish invaders back until they reached the captial and sacked it.
Bart then returned home yet again and married Sondirra. It was a glorious double wedding, His friend the green magician Aralian Rael married at the same time and for a time things where great. It wasn't perfect in fact it was hard work helping the nations rebuild their shattered cities, to heal the sick and the wounded and to feed the starving population.
But at least nobody was trying to kill them for quite some time and after the worst was over Bart and Sondirra went to find their own place in the world and settled in the southern mountains.

Well I've added some more. Any comments, suggestions?

It wasn't perfect in fact it was hard work helping the nations rebuild their shattered cities, to heal the sick and the wounded and to feed the starving population.
But at least nobody was trying to kill them for quite some time and after the worst was over Bart and Sondirra went to find their own place in the world and settled in the southern mountains.
The southern mountains where still rugged and wild. Dwarves had no interest in the mountains because there where no rare minerals in the deep stone. Several human settlements occupy some of the valleys that get more sun in the summer in order to grow grapes to make wine. Most of these villages belonged to no king or nation and where too small to attract priests or churches to help these people save a few religious fanatics which spent more time trying to convert people to their cause rather then spend their time tending to the sick.
So aside from the family life Bart and Sondirra spent quite a bit of time tending to the people in the surrounding villages, tending to the sick and the dying. Helping young mothers with their pregnancies and with the newborn children.
Everyone was happy and the couple was blessed with even more happiness when Sondirra fell pregnant. This was a really joyous occasion but Bart knew that elves giving birth to half-elves tended to have short but very hard pregnancies as the child would grow faster then her body could cope with.
So Bart sent a message to his old grove to ask for permission to begin his own right there in the mountains and a request for a few newly passed apprentices to help him get things organized.
Sidhe, his old master approved his requests and sent a few apprentices and sent word to the other groves that a new master had joined the circle gathering.
And so life went on. Bart spent a lot of time trying to convince Sondirra to take it easy but she was as stubborn as ever and continued doing her rounds right until the final trimester and this was her undoing. Inbetween two villages that lay over 20 kilometers from each other she went into labour prematurely. Of course she sent her wolf to fetch help but by the time anyone got to her it was too late. The baby still too young to face the world was born and died in her arms.
They both took it quite hard and mourned for a long time. But as they say time heals all wounds and two years later Sondirra was once again with child. And having learned her lesson she stayed more at home letting Bart take care of her and a year later whey where blessed with the birth of a beautiful baby girl which they named Althea which means healing.
This of course merited an invitation to all of his old friends.
Time continued to pass. And three years later Sondirra was once again with child. Her pregnancy was uneventful and she gave birth to a lovely baby boy who they named Fionn for his hair which was exceptionally white.
Bart and Sondirra had found happiness in their home and where quite content to live out their life in this relative peace.
