08-13-07, 03:47 AM I have been tossing around the idea to make a high INT/ low WIS type wizard (the classical "Consequences - Shmonsequences!" personality, Human or Gnome) who feel very akin with druids (hate undead etc), whereas the druids themselves might not feel as affectionate back.

The literature is completely saturated with wizards that use magic to generate impossible hybrids, mutants or chimaeras. Despite this, I have not seen a wizard PRC or variant that actually focuses on this aspect of wizardry. I would really love it if it gave access to druid-type spells with a "twist" - like a twisted Awaken etc...

I would prefer the character to NOT have any type of divine or extra-planar influences (although Demogorgon would fit as he is associated to mutations etc). Alignment-wise he might be put as compatible with Demogorgon though (CE, but not by own choice or ambition - rather by arrogance and ignorance. He is completely certain that what he does is for "The Greater Good").

So any hints on how to make this char is appreciated + other general ideas on personality etc.

08-15-07, 06:16 AM hmm... is homebrew okay? If so, this (http://forums.gleemax.com/showthread.php?t=867685) might fit the bill, possibly with a few changes, what do you think?

And yes, you're allowed to tone down the silliness.

08-15-07, 11:21 AM Pretty ok...just one problem they are not "alive" they are undead... The fleshweaver/fleshwarper type is not really what I am looking for here - rather someone focusing on the forces of Life, controlling and altering (corrupting, some would say) to "improve".

I got a good hint at another forum about the "simics" which actually had sort of the philosophy I was aiming for with this class/char.

08-17-07, 12:58 AM Alienist from Complete Arcane seems pretty close. It's about summoning strange creatures, turning your familiar into a weird creature, and finally changing yourself into something alien. It's got kind of a Lovecraftian feel to it, but it seems about right for what you're looking for.
