My next character (Demarrcusss) is going to be a bandit lord. He's going to ride around, looting plundering murdering raping, the whole deal. Right now he's in the conceptual phase, and I was wondering which class would be better suited for the 'evil magic warlord' type.
Warlock, on one hand, are pretty evil right out of the box, have moderate Bab, and a better hit die, as well as better survivability.
The warmage, on the other hand, is magic pain incarnate.
I guess what I'll have to decide is whether this evil is inborn (making him a warlock) or whether he learned his skills from someone else (making him a warmage)
As far as race I'm thinking Drow (played evil, of course) or Catfolk.

Any suggestions?

The Warlock has the evil and power burnt into his soul, a charismatic warlock could easily gather together a band of lowlifes and criminals to his will and set about carving out a dream in the blood of the innocent.
To my mind the Warmage is more institutionalised and dicsiplined. If the character is working from within an organisation it would be perfectly feasible.
My vote is for Warlock. Drow is a nice touch.

I agree I think warlock offers alot more flavour besides this way you can cackle as you eldritch blast your own minions to instill fear... and making captives dance using eldritch blast is fun 2 :)
