| J.Augustus Rose II05-21-05, 01:54 AM | I'm working on a backstory for a dwarven druid and this is what I have so far. It's not terribly original (I'm being honest) but that's why I'm presenting it to you lot. The basic idea is that a society of dwarven druids came before the council of elders and warned them of an oncoming doomsday. Of course they were ignored and tragedy struck. It's fleshed out a little more below. Feel free to tear it apart, rewrite it, correct my 2am grammar and punctuation, and generally tell me that it sucks. In other words: Have at it. Any help or advice is appriciated. Long ago the Landstrider Society stood before the Silverbeard council of elders with word that their miners were delving too deeply and too greedily for rock and stone to support. The Landstriders warned the council that nature would not stand for such effrontery and that a day of reckoning would soon be at hand. Despite their best efforts, the forewarnings of the Landstriders went unheeded. Due to their elders callous attitude towards the plight of their earth mother, the Landstriders were forced to abandon their ancient home though it caused them great sorrow. It was not long after the Landstrider exodus that the halls of their subterranean kingdom were shattered by a terrible earthquake. There were few survivors. |
