I want to make a bounty hunter type character but I can't decide on what a proper alignment would be. I think he should be Lawful Nuetral because he does deal alot with the law but then again he really doesn't care about the law when it comes to a bounty so maybe Chaotic Neutral or Neutral. What do you guys think a bounty hunter would be?

Well, if he only takes government bounties, then LN. If you want to take bounties from other sources, say crime lords, or you want more freedom, go straight Neutral. Ah neutral, aka "look out for #1"

Lawful alignments do not mean they must follow society's rules and regulations. Your bounty hunter could have his own code of ethics: once he takes a job, he sees it through or dies trying; he won't take bribes from wanted individuals that he is persuing or has captured; if the bounty is not paid in full, he will rescue the wanted person (the other party did not live up to the agreement); etc.

The a lawful bounty hunter will notify the local authorities of his actions, unless his actions will be considered illegal in that jurisdiction. Often, he will obey local laws and customs-so long as they do not prevent him from doing his job.
