OK, expert types. Here's the deal. My group is starting an Ebberon Campaign soon and i have a fun roleplaying character idea that I'd like to make work. I've only ever played Rangers so I need your help, please.

Thus:

Cursed half-elf. By day, Mr. Nice Guy Cleric (or...something else...open)...at the moment of sundown, his personality...even his abilities change into a surly Warlock Emo-kid (or something...open).

DM likes the roleplay possibilities so he's allowing it. I use 2 character sheets, 1 for DAY one for NIGHT.

I need to find the best possible mesh for this idea, class-wise. Need to stay close to neutral align.

Pretty open as far as the light side goes but i really like the idea of raising dead minions on the dark side.

AM I ASKING TOO MUCH?!

Thanks in advance for your wise words.

I would go with a more Jekyl/hyde thing (since this is basically what you are doing anyway). I would make the night time mr. baddy pants a brawler, marauder fighter type. Something that is purely a damage dealing class as a balance to the daytime sniffling, sneazing, plagued, eye plucked out, aching, stuffy-head, please heal my last few hit points goody cleric.

Haha, ok under consideration...but what if TavianG want undead minions...so..very...much?

why not a necromancer (or True Necromancer) for the night-time guy? OR, if your DM would allow it, maybe you could have a magic item (preferably something small, like a ring or necklace) that allows you to 1/day use the spell "animate dead" or some similar skeletons-arise-and-do-my-bidding spell.

not only that, but with the spell "shrink item", you could literally keep dozens of mini-shrunken corpses in a little pouch for days at a time.... a decent supply or ammo for your undead-minion-control ability.

How did your character come into such a curse. Presumably he must be a part of a tribe from the demon wastes? Or perhaps he's a crusader who has been touched by the silver flame? I like the latter. A crusading paladin-type who is completely unaware that when he was "blessed" by the quoatl locked in the silver flame he was also cursed by the rakshasa that noble creature bound.

PS If you don't mind switching off cleric I would say favored soul works even better as an opposite to a warlock. Creates a "blessed of the flame/carrier of the shadows" effect.
