Hello everyone. I'm new to the boards and wanted to share a character I created on the Dod: Stormreach game. Needless to say the game didn't workout for me and I wanted to try him here. I new to this kind of thing so any pointers or advice is welcolm. This is one story of several I have at various points in "Shroud's" past. Hope you enjoy.

ps I'm a horrible writer and speller :D , so please look over the grammatical and structure error's for now :embarrass

Arellius aka Shroud
Elven Ranger/Assassin

The elf sat at the bar of this particularly crowded tavern in Stormreach oblivious to his surroundings. He stared at the posted sign above the drink rack from underneath his shroud, he had one goal and that was his main focus. That focus was interrupted, however, by a drunken patron standing off to his side.
"What's with that eye there elffie?" the drunken man proclaimed.
The elf, though his focus broken by the man, payed him no mind and kept his eyes locked on the parchment.
One of those eyes was a deep blue, as blue as the deepest sea rich and striking, but the other, which the man was referring to, was unremarkable and pale blue, pale as a morning sky. The comment did send the elf's thoughts back to how he got that eye, while he could still see out of the eye, the blind rage left by it was no better.
"Maybe he fell off a tree doing one of them elffie dances!! Eh!?!"said the drunk, drawing laughs from his fellow drinkers standing behind him.
The elf turned slightly to regard the man with a sour look then turned back.
"Or maybe, his bow backfired and slapped him in the face!" added another.
"HA!HA! I always though you critters were handy with them bows!"heckled the man who started it.
"Are you of the Blackgaurd?" the elf asked calmly and not even looking at the man.
"Blackgaurd? Ha! If I was a Blackgaurd then..."
"Then you are a useless human fool, who's curiosity is soon to be cut short by the tip of my blade." the Elf finished for him in the same calm voice, still not looking at the man.
"Oooooooooo.." the nearby patrons crooned in unison.
The drunk turned up his drink not taking his eyes off the elf, and drained it, then with it still raised he charged at the elf with cheers form his companions leading him on. In a flash and in a single fluid movement, the elf was up from his seat his shroud pulled back and his sword slicing in front of the man twice stopping him dead in his tracks and dropping the mug to the floor.
"If you make another move or say another word, then that foul drunken breath will be the last you ever draw." the elf said in a voice so cold, it sent shivers down the nearest patrons spines.
And there he stood. His face for all to see. His unblinking pale blue right eye was accented by the deep burn scar that extended from it, branching like a lighting bolt onto his cheek and part of his forehead. The scar seemed to continue with white streaks standing out in his otherwise bold black elven hair . That scar complements of a wizard....a HUMAN wizard, was the catalyst for his trip to Xen'Drik.
The drunken man stood there in utter shock. Whether it was from to look of certain death in the elf's eyes, the harshness of his words, the revelation of the his scar or more likely, the strands of the man's hair floating in front of his face, the elf had no clue. Nor did he care.
In one movement the elf's shroud was back over his face and his sword sheathed, and he sat once more. The patrons seemed to look over it all as the elf sat, as if nothing happened, it was typical of the taverns in stormreach. Arellius could have slain the man and people would simple walk over him to get to there next drink.
Yes, all didn't even take notice of the event, except one lone figure, who rose and started toward Arellius. Ever since he took on this pilgrimage to his ancestors homeland he traveled alone, but on the dark lands of Xen'Dirk, he would need help. And as his focus renewed on the sign that read "Blackgaurd looking for members", he was sure he would not be disturbed again.......and the figure heading towards Arellius, was sure he was wrong....
