To tame the beast within... (druid avenger touched by utter evil) [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-23-05, 12:43 AM When Raskel (my character) was studying to become a druid, he could never have imagined that a nightmarish beast would come to his clan's grove and pervert and warp everything in it, destroying almost everyone he ever knew! However, it did happen, and it left him with vistigial demon wings and a churning rage from within. Now, whenever he uses his wildshaping and raging abilities together, his form takes on a demonic taint.

How will he cope with the feelings that seem to overflow within him during the heat of battle, and will he ever be able to find balance within himself again?

Ok, my character is a druid avenger (no animal companion, but barbarian like raging ability, and some other changes), and he was exposed to the warped touch disease (see vial darkness).

I am trying to find a way of meshing his raging ability with his wildshaping ability and his struggle for balance (being true neutral). I was thinking that maybe there would be a way to emphisize the evil of his raging form through a special varient animal template, or through some sort of prestige class or feat progression.

Does anyone know of anything that exists in print, or of anything that they themselves have thought of?

07-23-05, 10:48 AM It's Vile Darkness, Vial is a type of bottle.

He goes into a feral anger (Rage) and charges towards his enemies, his shape changing even as he moves and becomes a large feline, soon to be a giant viper and shortly after that taking the form of a massive bear; using the powerful attacks of each form he quickly kills his enemies and devours them before changing back.

Basically, he is an animal in a human body.

07-25-05, 01:59 PM Check out the Primeval prestiege in Frostburn. Just change the bestial bits to demonic stuff and you could have a character that changes over time into something more demonic.

07-25-05, 03:11 PM if you wanna do something basic, just make the animals that you change into have the fiendish template, making them evil, with a smite good ability, and some other minor things.
