Note: In the context of this thread Modus operandi means "mode of operation" and describes the character's primary patterns and style of doing things. [Take a look at the other examples for ideas on how to describe this]

The 'Character Concept Form' chosen for this compilation owes its basic structure to Trydan's How to create a role-playing character (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=105563), Thanks go out to him :D[/QUOTE]

Any help coming finishing this up and coming up with some cool back story on him, he grew up in North Ergoth thats all i really know about him now.

The reason he is tormented is because i have decided that between 8th and 10th level he goes insane and leaves the order of wizards and decides he wants to destroy the order. So i also need help coming up with why he goes crazy

Got come more info on my background

Leonidas grew up in a small city in North Ergoth. His father was a tailor and his mother was a baker. Both his parents tried to get him into their profession but Leo didn't want either. He wanted something more, something most people didn't have, Magic! Lucky for him not far from his home was a school of magic. The only problem was the fact it cost alot of money to go there. He had to work for both of his parents when he wasn't at school to convince them to let him go.

Since now he had barely anytime to sleep he started to become frail and weak. His cheeks began to sink him, and bags developed under his eyes. This features went with him through his life. Since he did not sleep that much his schooling suffered and he dragged behind and was one of the worst students of his class. His teacher told him he would not be able to graduate. But Leo determination kept him going. He finally graduated at the age of 20 from the school of magic. Now at the age of 24 he is getting ready to take the test of High Sorcery to join the order of White Robes.

Story End

Now all i need is a reason he goes insane, whether it be something from his past or another reason why he goes insane. Feel free to add or take away stuff from his story

Insanity doesn't cause someone to go straight to CE... it really doesn't...

If you want, you can have him go insane under the strain of the test of high sorcery. After he goes insane, he'll still be LG; but when he loses touch with reality, it'll get easier and easier for him to do evil and dishonorable things--so, after a while, his alignment starts to slip.

I'd second this. If a character "snaps" it usually has to do with some great stress...what's more stressful than an exam? :D

The whole point is for him to 100% loose it, kind of like the joker in batman.

As for the snapping during the test, he doesn't snap till around 10th level, so he already taken the test.

But thanks for the ideas, i'll take thim into consideration

Just a suggestion, but you should probably come up with a different name than Leonidas... otherwise youll have random npc's going-

"THIS IS SPARTA!"
or
"TONIGHT, WE DINE, IN HELL!"

Yeah... might start to annoy you :P

peace
