Talmariel 01-14-04, 09:51 PM	I'm hammering out some details with a character I've been kicking around for a while, and I'd like a little input. It's a d20 Modern game, starting fairly high-level (not sure the exact level). Anyway, I know I'm shooting for a Tough hero at his core, with maybe some Strong or Dedicated. I haven't found an Advanced class I care for, but this game is mostly about the role-playing and less about the numbers. Anyway, this character concept was originally a D&D barbarian/berserker, and I'm carrying over some traits from that. Namely, he has a huge temper. I'm working details on that out with my GM. He used to be a criminal, doing grand theft and such things. He was really good at heart, but basically took a wrong turn in life. His temper, however, got him into trouble. He critically injured someone once, and ended up going to jail. He's going to start in the game at his first day out. I'm actually talking to my GM about having his first in-game scene being getting picked up from prison by one of the other players, who's going to be an old friend. Anyway, because he's really a good guy he is very penitent over what he did. I figure he might even visit the person he injured, like they could still be in a coma or something. I want to develop more aspects to his past, though. For one, I want him to have had a love interest. I know I want them to have broken up while he was in prison, and she might have found another man. I'm not sure what kind of person this woman should be, though. Also, I need to flesh out some of the little things in his life, like where he lives and what he does. The image I have of him is a huge man, nearing 7 feet if not more, and around 400 lbs., nearly all muscle. His frame approaches mythic proportions in its sheer bulk and mass. His Strength and Consitution are going to be through the roof, naturally. He'll probably have good Wisdom, though low Intelligence. Charisma will likely be average-ish, but not lower. After all, he had a love interest, and I'd like him to be a likeable guy deep down, just that he has a hard time showing it. Anyway, any random ideas would be much appreciated. I don't care what they are, because if they aren't quite right I might still get inspiration out of them.
Therran Val 01-15-04, 12:13 AM	Like the whole story and character idea. The only thing that comes to my mind is a car jacker that's 7 feet tall and about as thick with muscle? Sounds like he either carries the cars off on his back or he's only stealing big rigs. Otherwise, cool. Hope you have fun playing him.
Talmariel 01-15-04, 11:20 AM	I never thought about that, hehe. Maybe he wasn't quite that big before, but put on some excess muscle mass in prison.
