| Jon of the North10-30-06, 04:05 AM | Hey, a D20 Star War PC. Cool. but, please, next time just say what skills you have ranks in, not every single moderfier :nonono: Anyway, some questions, ideas, and things to think about. 1.What Era are you in? 2.Are you going for a good guy, a villian, a merc, a pathatic coward who runs screaming from protical droids? 3. Any campaign info (how the PC are suppose to get togeather, type of adventures, other PCs?) 4. What do you see as your role in the party? -look at Jedi Counciling, one of them had alternative Fringer with more abilities. -What ever happen to Multi- / Prestigue classing? Fringers are usually from the boonies, so let's say Kurdussk grew up in a small, low tech town. He came form a decently well off family, so he had lots of free time to swim and play cards in his youth, was on an athletic team as a long/ high jumper. As a teen he earned money hand crafting... um, whatever Craft you took ranks in. I figure blaster Rifles since I have no idea how you can afford a light repeater unless you built it. He also learned... What's your bonus class skill? I recommend Repair. Kurdussk joined the Sector milita (he's a Trandoshan and look at his stats) unfortunately he was booted out during training for ...disobeying a direct (but illegal?) order! ... killing a wookiee just to watch her die! ... striking a superior officer (who just insulted/ attacked a female cadet?)! ... running an illegal sabacc game! OR He went AWOL. He still learned how to use a blaster rifle and got comfitable in armor, however. Taking everything he could but unwilling to return home in disgrace (note: this doesn't work if you killed a Wookiee), he stowed away on the 1st ship he saw and has been bumming around the galaxy for the last 6 months. Now he finds himself on Planet X, where the adventure begins... That's all I got for now, maybe more tomorrow. Good luck. |
| Ice_11710-30-06, 08:05 PM | Those are some great ideas! I love this game! As for Kurdussk, I like the idea of him being from a militia unit and your idea for his childhood sounds excellent. As for the era of the game, it's about 5 to 6 years into the NJO and Kurdussk has been hired to protect the 4 prospective Jedi trainees (other players) on there way to the temple on yavin. My character (Kurdussk) has fallen on hard times financially and this mission, he hopes, should land him back in some good comfort. He has a 'I-would-give-almost-every-last-jagganath-point-I-have-to-know-how-I-get-myself-into-these-situations' attitude and the way he was booted out of his unit is simple: Contraband- to be exact, 8.4 kilos worth of spice and a wookie skin toupee (he has his reasons, don't ask). The light repeater he pieced together from scratch and so it looks alittle junky, but he likes it that way. He booked passage on a trade ship and found himself on Coruscant where he got stuck 'babysitting'. The rest is up to the GM, I guess. I don't know, what do you think? |
| tiejaz10-30-06, 11:48 PM | I don't mean to be well, mean, but this is not the place for it. I'd look either to the SWRPG boards or the Character Development Board. |
| Ice_11710-30-06, 11:52 PM | I thought this was the character development board. |
| Fithero10-31-06, 04:30 AM | nah dude... this is the dungeons and dragons character development board, you want the star wars. Though i must say it has become rather deceptive here of late... no real way of telling what game the board belongs to. Peace |
| Ice_11710-31-06, 12:55 PM | I see. Okay, that's cool, no problem. I have to ask,due to n00bie-ism, how does one move a thread from one board to another? |
| Jon of the North10-31-06, 02:54 PM | Challenge! Tiejaz and Fithero, not to be mean, but you are wrong. Datum: location of this board, which is d20 design, not Dungeons and Dragons. Datum: title of board = Character Developement. Compare this to the 2 Character Ops, which are clearly divided between D&D and everything else. Datum: the Star Wars boards provides a link to this board. Opinion: Character development has less to do with crunchy rules, more with character personility. So people unfamiliar with every rule can still comment on the character (ex: Would a paladin really run a fried goblin stand?) hence we can all be here togeather. Ice, if a thread needs to be moved (which this doesn't) a Wizo will use his (are there any hers?) powers to do so. Finally, sounds like you have a good character. NJO is my weakest era as far as knowledge goes, so I'm not going to be much help there. But you got a good base, sound like you know your role in the party, and some nice details. And you'll learn more about Kurdussk as you play. Have a great game. |
| Ice_11710-31-06, 04:08 PM | Thanks, Amigo! |
| Fithero10-31-06, 09:33 PM | Tiejaz and Fithero, not to be mean, but you are wrong. See? How deceptive is this site, ive been comming here for over a year and i always thought it was the D&D board. My bad:ayyyy!: Peace |
