| Reverend_Chaos06-20-03, 03:51 PM | I am playing a halfling rogue in my current campaign, and I really enjoy playing this character. I need to liven things up a bit, as I have basically become the "trap springer" and not much else. So if any of you have any ideas I would love to hear them. Other party members include a halfling wizard, A human paladin, a human cleric, a human monk, and a dwarven fighter. I really want to center the pranks on the Paladin. but any ideas for any of them would be fun. Some of my own ideas: Swapping the Wizard's spellbook with another book, like my own jounal or something Hiding alchemist fire in the campfire before it get's lit placing a thunderstone at the tip of the Paladin's lance Any other ideas? |
| Eyes in the Darkness06-20-03, 04:06 PM | Trapspringer eh? Well, you if your character comes to resent this spring every trap but one and when your comrades decide that it is safe and one falls into a pit, is set on fire, gets shot in a sensitive area with a dart, etc. (make sure the trap isn't too dangerous) say with a sarcastic voice: "Oops! I must forgotten to step on that one. Next time I'll remember to hop up and down everywhere and then roll out a red carpet to make sure everything has been sprung." That'll make them appreciate you a little better. That or handing over the wizard's most powerful scroll to the BBEG with a few extra bits of ink so that it is guaranteed to go off spectacularly and in the BBEG's face, and then stab him in the back while he stands there in shock, whisps of smoke coming off his hair. The looks on the other players face will be priceless (consult DM first of course) |

Tie a pink ribbon around the Paladin's mount's tail. Just watch out for its kick. Write a few letters to a temple (using a few different names) of the same god as your paladin, each asking for a refund of a large donation (some item picked up in a dungeon somewhere) that you gave to the paladin after he promised you favor from said god for it and you never got. Hide one of the items you said were donated in the paladin's bags.. |
| Kexizzoc06-20-03, 10:32 PM | O man, make sure your party isn't to sensitive... a good prankster knows what pranks to pull on what people. That being said... Strategically place nudie artwork in the wizards spellbook. Even worse, hire the artist to make the nudie artwork of YOU (I'll trail off here...) Forge letters from the temple to the cleric or paladin, asking about his "discgraceful behavior". Such as: that half-orc we beat the poo out of wasn't a bandit... he was the new high priest, traveling innuendo! :smirk: While the party is asleep; braid the dwarf's beard in pigtails (that actually might be a normal haicut for a dwarf though...), draw demonic symbols on the cleric or paladin's armor, fill the wizard's spell component pouch with some rotting vegetables, and (if the monk is bald) scribble an angry face on the top of his head. Yruc's first one was great... paladin come out, sees little kid on top of his horse ("what, it's for charity!" *coins jangle*). Even worse, put a for-sale sign on the mount ("Ask big guy in plate mail in Three Chicken Tavern"). "No, for the last time, Lightwind is NOT for sale!". Horse then thinks owner has betrayed it...runs away... |
| PyroMancyr06-20-03, 10:32 PM | A page from Nodwick: you were talkin bout swappin the wiz's spellbook? then do it right.... swap it fer one filled with dirty pictures.......:D |
| PyroMancyr06-20-03, 10:51 PM | hmmm...itchin powder in the paladin's codpiece.... if there's any females in the group....now this is where i place the dislcaimer...this was something a player actually did to a female character in the group....this was NOT MY IDEA ok that said...place fish remnants strategically within the female's equipment....or smear on clothing.....ok, I will not say more... now, if yer rogue had spellcasting levels.... place a Continual Light spell with a Ghost Sound spell on the Paladin's pants...activeted by Contingency.....when he takes them off, the fly lights up and a "Halleluiah" chorus erupts.... of course, you could also steal a pair from him and hire a wizard or sorcerer to do it.....then slip them back.... |
| PyroMancyr06-21-03, 06:20 PM | lmao!!! I think I might have found the ultimate prank to pull on yer mage.....this is why I read Nodwick...... http://www.gamespy.com/comics/nodwick/gamespyarchive/gspynod110.html :;snicker;:...tell them you struck a deal or sumthin..that got you a map that might just lead your party to the First Magic.... now this is something you'll have to work out with your DM....because its gonna take an entire adventure.....but if he's as sickan twisted as the rest of us, there should be no problem......... |
| Zoticus06-22-03, 02:32 AM | 1. Dye the dwarf's beard pink. 2. put a "kick me" sign on the back of the barbarian/paladin/fighter 3. ale/acid switcheroo 4. reduce spell on the female character's clothing/armor (are you getting fat?) 5. spike someone's ale with a potion of love 6. soverign glue has many uses 7. spell/cursed item that makes all the air someone breathes out turn into helium so they always talk in a high-pitched voice. 8. cursed boots of otto's irrestible dance given to a party member |
| Lord of the Ninth06-22-03, 03:05 AM | If any of the party has a rod they carry (immoveable whatever), replace it with a rod of wonder. Or use it your self, this can also be fun, but in general it's best to have someone else use it because it can reduce you to 1/12 your size with no save.;) |
