ravennight 09-13-07, 05:54 PM	Can a lich character be truly in love with another character? What if that character was of starkly different alignment and had suffered at the hands of the lich? I know that there are examples of plenty of evil characters falling in love, and some of them even being true love, like Semmemon and his lover, but alignment is going to play a role in how they show affection.
QuickenedWish 09-13-07, 11:41 PM	Mechanically, there is nothing stopping a lich from feeling love towards another. A lich retains the alignment, memories, and abilities of its former self. If that former self loved another, then I don't see how that would change. As to whether one can love another, even if there are differences in alignment, or whether the character is evil, is trickier, but can be justified with a good backstory.
