Kastor Lieberung 05-10-07, 03:29 PM	How would you rate this character accoring to his level.. is he unbalanced? If so in what way? Pedron ex-paladin- Black Guard lvl 13, fight lvl 1. STR 22 DEX 12 CON 18 INT 13 WIS 15 CHA 24 Fort 23 Ref 12 wil 13 max AC: 37 Max hp 196 SR 15 DR 2/- Feats: weapon focus greatsword, power attack, divine might, improved initiative, cleave, greater cleave, Divine shield, grenadier (1 bonus feat for good character background, 1 is divine gift from a god). Other abilities: Blackguards (fallen paladin bonus) class abillities Magic Equipment: Armor: Fullplate +3, animated shield +1, heavy steelshield +3, Weapons: Adamantine greatsword +3, Frostbrand longsw.+2,dagger of venom+1,composite longbow 3str +1. Misc items: Belt str+4, cloak of cha+4, amulet of natural armor +1, ring of deflection +2, Boots of levitation, Champions Helmet (SR 15, cant be suprised, immune to crit) Short story: Leading a party consisting of 8 members through the course of five demanding years of adventuring, the paladin finally succumbed to darkness. They travelled to the abyss darkest corners to find the weapon that legend said would kill the fiend that treathened the peace in the world, but on their way the party stumbled unprepaired into a dangerous trap, and all died except the paladin. With no way to return without first slaying the fiend, in his despair a dark godess tempted the paladin to let her ressurect the fallen members if he would walk over to her side. First he denied her, and was ready to face the fiend alone, dy trying, but after beeing ambushed by other demons soon after, he lost him self, and made his lifes worst mistake and succumbed to the dark godess offer. Once a hero and champion of good, and sacrificed himself and his belief to save the mission when all hope seemed lost.
David Argall 05-10-07, 06:29 PM	He's about an 80 point build, and if the system actually considered such numbers, he would be more like 100. So you need to lose about 10 points from those ultra high stats. I don't know what a Champion's Helmut is. If it runs about 20,000 gold, you are about right in magical equipment, but if it is a big ticket item, you are out of line there too.

cactot 05-10-07, 11:14 PM	How would you rate this character accoring to his level.. is he unbalanced? Compared to what? He is still weaker than many optimized classes of his level. Even though he is built with custom items and complete disregard of the rules. Other than that, he is not "overpowered" compared to other optimized builds, compared to a low point buy melee build he is quite strong.
