Ok. Here goes ... I am starting to play in a new campaign and I'm typically known for having unique or unusual characters but, Im having trouble thinking of one this time. So if anyone out there has an idea for a character that they have not been able to play or didnt think it would fit into the campaign or even just thought it was just TOO weird to play post those thoughts here and help me out a little. And if you want tell me what levels in what i would have to take to make such a character.

How about a gnomish wizard who basically does nothing but make magical rods? "I've got a big rod in my pocket, and I'm not afraid to use it!" :D

Then there's the "unusual race/class combo" trick... pick a race, then pick a class that doesn't seem to fit it at all; a dwarfen sorcerer, a halfling paladin, a GNOMISH paladin... (can you tell I like gnomes? :) )

Unfortunately, all my really unique concepts have already been used... I love my halfling lich character (Pint sized villainry!), my female gnomish rogue party animal (Always do it flashy, or not at all- she had no skill at hiding) and my half-orc druid. (Bet you didn't see THAT one coming.)

However, this concept is sound, when it comes to picking odd characters. Take a race, look at it's penalty stat (e.g. Half Orc -2 Int, -2 Cha). Then take a class which needs those stats (e.g. Bard). Then combine.

Lots of fun.
